To date, Muse has to be one of mine. Absolutely fantastic live.

Really rated Kaiser Chiefs too as it was a small venue and they really got the crowd going.

Pendulum were spectacularly good. I've also never been to a bad Levellers gig. Would love to see Muse though - definitely one on my gigs bucket list.

Glastonbury 2000-and-something... met a staggeringly pissed guy at the Death In Vegas set the night before who said "you *must* - and swear on your mother's life - you *must* go to the Avalon stage tomorrow night and see The Damned."

We did.

They were amazing.

I liked the bit where the lead harangued the crowd, "If you don;t shut up, I'll sing Happy Talk!"

Yeah, Rotting Stones still have it. They were good.

So many bands it's hard to narrow it down. I'd echo the comments about the Levellers and The Damned. Carter USM and the Wonder Stuff are the bands I've seen the most (dozens of times over the last quarter of a century) so I guess they are doing something right. Frank Turner has incredible energy live and love seeing him. I've seen many iconic acts, Nirvana, Pixies, Jane's Addiction, Joe Strummer and many more.

But I think the best is probably the time I saw Billy Bragg, Wayne Kramer (MC5), Mick Jones (The Clash) and one of the Foo Fighters (not Grohl) in a pub in Camden doing Jail Guitar Doors and Kick Out The Jamms. That was pretty fucking special

Paul McCartney used to be brilliant live, but I don't think I'd want to see him again now, because his voice is shot.

He could do a two hour set of standards, and you know he could do another two hours if he wanted to.

Eric Clapton was good, as was Mark Knopfler. Queen not so much to be honest.

I don't go to gigs these days, as there's no one I really want to see anymore.

Again, I forget which year but it was a wet G'bury and The Levellers came out with sunglasses and Hawaiian shirt on.

The crowd were not pleased.

The crowd started to throw mud and it was hilarious to watch them trying to play their set whilst dodging mud bombs.

One hit the lead's guitar and he slipped and shouted "Cunt!"

'Twas brill.

Went to glastonbury in 1995 it was scorching all weekend,oasis and orbital were headling,i missed them and most headline acts as i was watching all the punk bands in the little tents,a gang if skonheads where smacking people indiscriminately for no reason it was bad,they made a beeline for me and my 2 mates so i dropped the leader and the rest didnt know what to do

The year of the mud when they closed the second stage and nearly cancelled the whole thing I was walking along one of the metal walkways and like everyone else forced off into foot deep mud so a tractor could pass. A tractor towing an open trailer. With Ocean Colour Scene sitting it. A very very muddy Ocean Colour Scene. It was a beautiful site

Big Country at the Reading festival in 1983 I think, they were amazing. The Sex Pistols in Birmingham bullring. Motorhead in Newport. Simple minds in Wembley Stadium in the 80s. ac/dc in a field in Derbyshire lol. Mind you, for all the good bands ive seen, there have been many, many bad bands i've seen, Spandau Ballet anyone?
