Just had a phone call offering me £4,000 compensation for an accident I had. I told him it wasn't enough and I wanted more. He then offe_ed me £5000. I told him it still wasn't enough. He then asked me when the accident happened?

He didn't have a clue about it but still told me he could get me £5k

I wasn't inju_ed in any accident so I told him to fuck off

When they ask me if I have had an accident I say "Yes", when they say when was it I say "Tomorrow", they hang up pretty quick!

They doing the rounds today. .. I just had an identical call, also told them to fuck off as I haven't had any accident!

2:37 is my record.

2 minutes 37 seconds they were still on the phone. I'd set them next to the telly to let them talk to that. Bear Grylls was on, and whatever Bear was saying must have tallied with whatever they were asking.

Last time i had one i said well the problem is i dont drive ibe never learnt. They replied "WHAT?!!Are you joking everyone drives. You really shpuld." I said all the accidents i keep having are putting me off

TPS and staying silent if an unidentified number calls helps - their call dialling software interprets it as an invalid number. I get a call every couple of months. Even if they're overseas they may be calling on behalf of a uk company - so I want the company info and progress it with them.

Usually just mentioning TPS is enough for the caller to get you removed - hence my low call rates.

Reporting UK businesses to the Information Commissioner's office also means they can prosecute them.

You can report them online, so it's free.

It could be any of us working and making those calls so I don't get rude etc to them.

As it turned out the other insurance company were giving him the offer and that way if any injury got worse he couldn't claim as he already accepted there offer. In the end he ended up with £400 less than what they were offering. Xxxx

My son whose only 10 gets them calling him on his iPhone. Total con artists just taking a chance at ringing anyone. I certainly wldnt be handing over bank details as they'd probably clear u out never mind the promise of thousands.

We had one from India, who really annoyed me because my kids answe_ed and he started with them saying we had a computer virus and criminals had stolen our details.

(they are actually selling some shitty software)I was only watching TV so had some sport and kept him on for 20 minutes.

Others call periodically, but I've only managed 10 minutes last time.

I had one of these early call at work, the lady said 'it's about an accident that was reported from this phone number' I said 'when was this' she couldn't tell me, so I hung up when she tried arguing 'has there been any accidents there?' I could tell her about my finger I sliced open yesterday but couldn't be bothe_ed!!
