What's the problem with identifying as middle aged? I would take it as half the average life span .... I am past that, but its not a negative label for me

I am not sure we see ourselves as others see us (sadly, or perhaps a good thing). We went to a party recently and everyone looked well, too old for us; went to Misty in Roots at Southend and were surrounded by lots of older ladies. My friend and I turned to each other and said, 'Is that how we look to the outside world? Tell me now and get it over quick' ... well, I was completely honest when I told her she didn't look like that, let's hope she was being honest too. Btw, if Misty and Roots are anything to go by, there's a lot of life left in all of us ... great gig.

Middle aged, Dad bod, more grey hairs with each passing haircut, ear hair and nose hair getting a mind of its own (so now a proud owner of a 'hygienic hair remover') .. I hope there's still people out there that will endure us mid-life crisisers or I might as well go UNLOS now

Hmmm. Hardly legions of fans for us then! As I suspected. Actually, if 50 is the new 40, I will shortly be on the cusp of middle-age..! Regular cyclists have the body of someone ten years younger anyway
