I wouldn't worry about people's preferences as to who they want to meet. Some spell it out, others don't. Some put it politely, OTHERS SHOUT IN A RANTY WAY! If you don't like something on a profile then just pass it by, its not rocket science.

I think it's all about .... how people word it on their profiles .... do they dismiss certain groups with such terms as ... no this and no that? Do they objectify certain types of people? If so, I am not interested in meeting them. I don't feel I have to justify any of my views to anyone else because they reflect me, who I am and my experiences .... I like to stand up for what I believe in and I am always willing to be educated as to other people's views. Busy twelve plus hours at work, dinner on, hubby in the shower ... let's chill.

I don't know how black guys feel, but I know how skinny guys feel; if I read "we/I don't meet skinny guys" and I had a mind to message first; I would be grateful that they had put that on their profile and saved me the trouble of composing a message to them; surely that must be the same with guys/couples/women of different ethnic groups? This subject has been done to death many times on here but maybe the OP is new here (can't see her profile because it's hidden).

The long and short of things on fab is, IMHO, don't judge others.

Whilst I'm sure there are people on this site who are racist and that they probably do put comments on their profile such as BBC, no asians, black guys only, no blacks etc. I don't think that putting those remarks as preferences necessarily means a person is racist. If they don't fancy black cock or pinky pale pokers then they don't fancy them. It's really no more racist than a woman saying she only wants guys or a guy saying no gay men, is sexist.

I would not sleep with a person I didn't fancy just to prove I wasn't sexist or racist and I don't expect anyone else to. Who a person chooses to sleep with is a deeply personal choice and their right to personal choice (even if that choice is based on sexist or racist beliefs) must trump all other considerations. There really is no other possibility. However you can choose not to interact, contact or play with them if you feel strongly enough about it.

I don't see it and I live and work in London. Our community is very mixed .... and the schools celebrate everything. We aren't threatened by nor do we margins anyone who we see as different. I am interested and intrigued by meeting new people and being exposed to different cultures. When I lived in the USA I was 'the outsider', okay, a white British one, so not entirely the same, but I appreciated being a part of it all and extend the same. I don't see communities cutting themselves off ...

When people say no to a particular race and justify it by saying 'just my preference', I have often wondered what they mean. Is it that they, as a norm, prefer a particular race if given the choice? If so this would be the correct use of the word 'preference'. Or do they mean that they will not consider anybody of that particular race under any circumstances? To me this is more of an exclusion than a preference. For example, if I were to say I prefer apples to bananas, that does not mean in won't eat bananas. If I were to say I wont eat oranges ever, then I am excluding this fruit from my diet, therefore I would be incorrect in describing this as a preference. Me personally I, by and large, prefer white men. But I have slept with blacks and Asians before, and I've no doubt I will do so again, so I would be correct in saying that white men are my preference, but I will keep an open mind. However, if I were to say I will only have sex with white men, this is then a hard and fast rule, and therefore is inaccurate to describe this as a preference. I've no idea if people's racial preferences, or decisions to include or exclude a particular race from their sexual choice, is racism or not. However I have noticed that people seem to express their racial preferences comparitively more than other aspect of physical appearance. I mean you don't see men saying 'big tits only - just my preference', and you'll rarely get women saying 'no bald men - just my preference'.

I was explaining the difference between theory and law in science. It'll only become law when it is tested and proven. There's facts supporting the theory, but the theory itself isn't proven yet eg Darwin's Law of Evolution is actually a theory

I like the term BBC personally, I don't see much problem with it but I get why people wouldn't like it. For somewhere like this where in my very short time on here; I see you have a wide variety from those wanting particular penis' to mental stimulation, you can understand why when there is allot of women saying "BBC" guys who are essentially marketing themselves will include the same language.

On the racism thing, I largely disagree that someone saying they prefer a particular race or say no black men, is racist. Now underneath that they may be a racist ideology for some but I suspect not for the majority.

I've outside of this in real life had girls turn me down on the basis of my being black, of course I'm more than my skin colour.

I also happen to be 5'7 and more frequently see 5'10 or taller. The height one hurts me more, the struggle is real for us shorter guys

We have seen profiles on here of white people that are looking for ' black males only'.. does that mean that they're racist? What if they were looking for 'whites only'? Would they be thought of as racist then?

We saw a profile on here of an interracial couple... she was white, he was black. They only wanted to meet other mixed race couples. Does that mean that they're racist?

Then we noticed that they only wanted to meet other mixed race couples where the woman was white and the man black, like themselves. So does that mean that they're racist against non white women and non black men? Or racist and sexist?

Or that they just have physical preferences?

I'm not racist but...

Well Infact my (Mr) filters cover a much broader spectrum.

When I was younger and more nieve I used to say.

Everyone regardless of colour is a decent person until proved othwise.

(if other's didn't like someone due to colour, I would make up my own mind based on the person not the colour)

Now I am older and definitely more cynical and bitter.

I go by the ethos that everyone is a dick until proven

Otherwise.

So to sum up.

You're all a bunch of bell ends.

I don't discriminate.

Unfortuantly the lefties made it impossible to speak about race without shouting `racist` as a way of shutting people up to win any disagreement.

You get called a racist the stigma behind it at say work will cause all sorts of problems that why people dont want anyone thinking they are one.

Awful really, thank the lefties and Brown/Blair governments for fucking up the whole issue of racism in this country.
