"I know the hubs uses it but that's as much as I know ![]() It depends on the distro you use some are easier than others, personally i prefer the Redhat based ones, like CentOS, if your new to Linux Ubuntu is your best bet, but be warned getting Microsoft apps to run under Linux can be tricky for a newbie, as you have to use an emulator, Ubuntu is also good as you can dual boot it with windows. However if you just want to try it and see if you like it is the live CD images as you can just use that boot from it have a play, shut it down, remove the CD and your windows install is unaffected | |||

"ok so ive put mint onto a USB drive.when i get it to boot up will it have an internet browser built into it .. and will i be able to leave and go into window 8 if i get in trouble" Yes just shutdown the Linux OS remove the usb and boot up normally, yes there will Be a browser of some kind installed as default | |||
