they're all full of 'single' men.

tbh most of the men are shit so no matter which site you use being not shit will help.

It partly depends on this 'intimate' interaction you're after.

Generalist or specialist, with specific tastes?

The more general, it's likely there's increased numbers of men and women.

But imagine there's a pot of women who have virtually no men to pick from at a site. Do you imagine they'll hang around a poor site? Unlikely imo.

Define what you want precisely. Then research and plan your route to get this.

It might include more effective use of fab.
