Just heard on the radio that a group of actors are complaining about being called "Luvvies". They say the word "Luvvie" is as offensive as the "N" word.

Poor Luvvies!

What do you think?

If they don't like luvvies they should try liking being called a "tranny", it might be what I am but I still don't like being referred as one, just call me Katie I said to a guy the other at who wanted a "chat" so he started off with "I luv trannies"........ FFS I thought, if he can't get that right what's the chances of him hitting the spot in other ways.......!!!!

It was mentioned on the Andrew Marr show this morning. I will continue to refer to them as Luvvies, all the more if it annoys them.

apparently Tom Conti started it in response to some local counsellor calling some high profile protesters 'livid luvvies'.....said it is as bad as being called a Yid or a Nigger (couldnt write one and not the other lol)

sorry but 'luvvies' have never been persecuted, hunted, killed etc simply because of the colour of their skin or their religious beliefs....to belittle the struggle that these people have gone through over a protest about a fucking supermarket is ridiculous.

Some other bloke i have never heard of from Downton has also likened it to the name calling them Americans did in Vietnam....think some people need to have a word with themselves

The sad thing is that these Actors seemed to think that using the word "Luvvie" implied that all Actors were "Luvvies", they couldn't see that only the "Luvvies" were "Luvvies", which made THEM "Luvvies"!
