Good evening all.

Can anyone suggest a great read for my bookclub this month.

There are 8 of us, all female and around the 30 - 40 age group.

Would like to read something a bit 'saucy' but not too erotic as some members might be shocked

thanks

Edinburgh

I can recommend a whole pile of crime fiction!

The only erotic book I really loved was The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice but I'm not sure it's the right suggestion for a book club! They might think you're a special sort of deviant!

Love Anne Rice - have you read The Witching Hour - seriously good.

If you don't mind sci-fi I would recommend "Enders Game", it's premise is powerful and doesn't go off into technobable. (don't read the sequels though, they are rubbish)

Another one is "Old Mans War" which is more light hearted and does have a couple of sex scenes in it.

Phillipa Gregory has written her series of Tudor novels, including the other Bolyen Girl but several more, all of which are great. Or there is her new series about the Wars of the Roses - the White Queen and the Red Queen so far.
