Can you have some kind of relationship purely online without Physically meeting? I've been asked to do this a few times and don't understand it. Is it just me?

In short I'd say no - a relationship, in my eyes and surely by definition, includes physicality.

I would say yes. It's a different type of relationship, but if there is engagement, contact, sharing knowledge and experiences yes that must be a relationship.

I met my ex husband online and we were together a year before we met in person. So it is do able, but it takes a lot of work and trust and it does get hard at times. Even though we are divorced now, it was well worth bit at the time.

I've had two online subs, it was so challenging to Dom someone without physically meeting them, but as an exercise in domination, I learned more than I could from a physical dynamic, it forced me to get really creative, and find new ways to administer punishment.

How can you punish though without being there physically? As in, you can't cane yourself for example.

I understand the absolving of guilt although I wonder whether that self forgiveness stays with you.

i did this with a guy from india. i met him on a game site and we talked loads, did get sexy sometimes but it was mostly talking and 'falling in love'.

it was lovely but after 4 months i realised it was unlikely we'd ever meet so i broke it off and he was gutted. i was gutted too and saw some potential but had to live in reality too and it was sad we'd never meet or get a chance to form something real with each other.

i think if you don't take it seriously or are going to form something more real then it is more likely to work.

you could never meet and be in love with someone too, and be happy with that. loads of relationships are not based on sex or have no sex and the couple are happy together without it.

That's when orgasam denial and humiliation comes into play, like I said it was very challenging, and I loved the challenge part of it, that's what was rewarding for me, instead of having sexual gratification, my satisfaction was in watching her grow as a person and let go of all the repression, and negativity towards sex and sexuality, and all from over a thousand miles away, it was an achievement I think
