This is old news. It's been in the media for ages that he's going there. In fact it was so obvious. There wasn't really anyone else that could have taken the job! This coming from a Chelsea girl too! Unfortunately football isn't about the game as such anymore. It's about money, trophies and success. Not loyalty to a club or love of the game as such. Just my humble opinion before anyone decides to shoot me down.

Agreed. It's all about the green these days...and not the smoking kind.

I'm still not sure whether I'm relived, pleased, disappointed or happy.

Time will tell, I'll give moriniho errr two years on his past form.

But it will be a rollercoaster two years

I only hope he's learnt from the way he let Chelsea down so bad at the beginning of this season. I personally think it was the way he dealt with the physio incident that caused alot of unrest and upset amongst the players and they lost confidence in him.

But they just won some silverware, like today I believe. Why get rid of the manager if you're winning?

Or is he going out on top?

A bit lacking in class and not like how Man U used to be run in the manner of his going, whilst it was on the cards it could have waited till Monday at least..

Jose and Van Gaal play the same type of systems and speaking to a couple of m8's who are red Manc's they seem to think it could be more of the same..

very true football is a business and advertising outlet, yrs ago city and utd shirts red white cuffs and collar, or blue white cuff and collar, away strip all white, now kit changes like the weather, they used to make them locally giving supporters employment, now done abroad with cheap labor for more profit

It may have been rumoured in the media for ages but there has been no announcement made or official word apart from press speculation and a work colleague of mine who actually chatted to Mourinho a few weeks ago when he was told that he would be managing in the Premier league next season but refused to say who.

It has been known with the same "certainty" for several weeks.

Even now (9.45 Sunday 22nd) it has still not been confirmed by anyone.

Nothing has changed....just a few more people talking about it.

my mate spoke to him after he had traveled back from Manchester so it was a no brainer to work out where he had been

The way they have gone about it is so wrong, ok the guy hasn't done what was expected but to have let it it become a certainty just after winning the fa cup is disrepectful to say the least.. As for mourinho well let's just see if he continues to use Young players from Man Utd academy something he wouldn't do at Chelsea..I'm no fan of either club but all credit to van gall as the only manager to win 4 fa cups in 4 countries...says something
