I would like to say come on you reds!!!!!

Can't believe I am going to my first cup final today

As I was growing up the cup final for me was always the highlight of the end of season

Beating palace in the replay

Chelsea pissing down with rain

Loosing to Everton when we were Favourites

Beating the bin dippers with King Eric

Part of the treble

Watching the coaches and fans, the song (miss the fa cup songs) - 3pm kick off at the old Wembley across the sand

Also abide with me, and God save the queen.

I wonder what your fa cup memories are

Can't stand either club so it wouldn't be a great loss to civilisation if both coaches crash and burn on the way to Wembley.

At a push I probably hate the jam rolls slighty less than ManUre so will go for a Palace win.

At least both sets of supporters wont have far to travel

crewe

Crewe vs Everton in 2002, and drawing to take it to a replay. Never slept the night before, I was only 14 at the time. Replay was on TV, Dean Ashton scored first but lost.

Side note; what do you think about the semi's being at Wembley? I don't agree with it

I apologise, it was horrible and untrue. A lot of the ManUre supporters will have long trips up from the south coast.

As a kid watching the 85/86 88/89 Merseyside finals Being right behind the goal when Owen scored 2 to beat Arsenal,

And watching Gerrard hit the last minute equaliser West ham,

Obviously hoping for a Palace win

but I hope its a good end to end game and plenty of goals

how could I forget those suits! A largely forgettable match though. More memorable was cheering at them in their coaches all the way back up the motorways

No. My 'going' days are gone. I largely don't miss going apart from final days like today. One day might get my season ticket back - On the upside; at least I am able to go out and have fun in one of our wonderful clubs tonight; hopefully celebrating a win.

Swansea

I was lucky enough to go to see my team (Cardiff) in the 2008 FA Cup final. We may have lost but it was a never-to-be-forgotten day.

Problem is my girlfriend is a Swansea fan, so she's got the upper hand over me, what with them temporarily the better side in South / West Wales.

Enjoy the day whatever the result mate, occasions like this don't come along every day.

Costa Blanca Spain...

The FA Cup has lots of memories for me.

The first was 1979 (known as the five minute cup final) Man Utd v Arsenal. 2-0 down with five mins to go. Gordon McQueen stuck a leg out and 2-1. Then Sammy McIlroy made it 2-2 with a goal that seemed to take half an hour to trickle into the net. All that happened right in front of where I was standing. While we were still celebrating I looked across to the Arsenal end and couldn't understand why they were all going crazy. Then I realised Alan Sunderland had made it 3-2.

Next was 1983. The year we had four trips to Wembley.

First was the League Cup (known as the Milk Cup in those days) We lost 2-1 to Liverpool but what happened before and after the game set the scene for the rest of the year.

In a pub before the game we were chatting to some local fans one of which was a very attractive girl called Helen. She and her friend had tickets for the same end as us and we managed to switch them into the same enclosure for the game. We got on like a house on fire and promised to keep in touch. Only problem was we were both married so we only exchanged work phone numbers.

We met again at the FA cup semi final then she arranged for both of us to stay overnight at her parents house for the final.

The final ended as a 2-2 draw and in those days it meant a replay. So Sunday morning we queued for hours at Wembley but managed to get tickets. I arranged a day off work and drove down to watch Man Utd beat Brighton 4-0 and more importantly see Helen again.

As the summer went on she came up north once and we got together again at the Charity Shield game but distance and commitments pretty much drove us apart by the Autumn.

That was 33 years ago and I never heard from her again but I've never forgotten her and often wonder what might have been.

That is my FA Cup memory and final day always brings it back like it was yesterday.

Great game that! They've been involved in few to be fair to the scousers.

I'll just hope Palace score early so United aren't sitting back all game and making it boring.
