If we say we want a NSA fuck buddy type thing then does that mean they only have to get in touch when they want a shag?

If we ask for mutually agreed 'rules' then does that mean it's not NSA?

You're thinking too much in to it.

NSA to me means we don't want any deep emotional problems but we may still form some sort of social friendship too.

To others NSA would mean to turn up, fuck and then leave.

You just find your feet and the way on a person by person basis. If they say they'd have possible free time each month etc and would always give possible notice, to check you're all free, then you'd play it that way - if it suited your needs.

I've had weekly nsa fbs over long periods or others I'd meet if in the area.

Often needs differ to some extent but there can be overlap and compromise.

i reckon people have their own rules as to what works for them.

i'd prefer very regular meets with someone NSA as i enjoy sex a lot and look forward to meeting someone regularly, it turns me on more. if someone only gets in touch every few weeks for a fuck then i've lost interest by then.

The arrangements I've had with anyone long term have worked perfectly for me....a little chat now and then and meet up when suits us both....have fantastic sex and a laugh then go our separate ways....it's a bit like that friend you have that you rarely see. You aren't really involved in each other's lives but you connect when you meet. No drama. I don't care what they do in between, and they don't care what i get up to. I don't think there are many that really get this. So i guess my main rule is sex with no involvement.

If I start viewing some as a FWB, the WB kinda takes a second place

For me NSA can mean both, for instance

I have a lady friend on her and we chat occasionally and have met in the past for NSA fun, however she's still a friend and I helped her out when she punctured her car tyres.

I also know a couple who I've met on here before a few tines and it's been are you free, turn up fuck and go nsa fun.

What works for one may not work for the other but in both instance's its been NSA.

I've done the friends with benefits thing.

For me, NSA simply meant that I was really happy for him when he finally got himself a proper girlfriend.

I was filling a gap. Worked for me and him. Sometimes we met for drinks or coffee and a chat, sometimes it lead to more and sometimes it didn't.

I need a replacement for him now though, when I'm meeting again.

It means whatever the two of you decide it means - it's all about the dynamic between two people in my view, what naturally develops between you, it is different in every case I find. I have had people I don't need (or really want) to talk to from one meet to the next (without any lack of respect on either side), people I chat to every few days if we both feel like it, and people I can spend hours on the phone with. It's all good - just see what develops!

I would discuss the matter with a potential Fuck Buddy and see how you both wish to play it as each individual has different ideas on what is expected and what to expect out of it.

I had a brief relationship with a lass back in the early 90's. We are still in contact and occasionally I'll get a text asking if I'm free and vice versa. During that time she has lived abroad for 3 yrs and been married & divorced. There have been times when we have seen each other regularly for a couple of months at a time before not seeing each other for a couple of yrs.
