Each company will have a slightly different sizing system.

Best thing to do is check on their websites with your own measurement to hand. Most will have a sizing guide.

Welcome to first world problems for women ..... We don't even know what size we are because everywhere sizes differently. I can be a 12 in one place or a 16 in another. I can even buy a size small and large in the same shop if depending on the cut and fabric.

It really depends how you want something to look when it's on YOU. I've got no hesitation buying something in a size 18-20 if it looks better on my body in that size.

It's difficult one to answer. All I know is that size 30 waist Levis used to equate to a size 12 but if you buy clothes in Marks and Spencers or Next they will be considerably bigger than those in Jane Norman for instance even though the label says the same.

How about buying a couple of things on line and trying them on at home.

That's understandable I meant online..each company has different sizing and if your going to by from China go at least 4 sizes bigger than you normally would.

It also depends on styles of clothing and what suits your body shape.

My tip is don't worry about what size something is..... Just get stuff that fits....

It only looks good if it fits properly.... and you should try before you buy.......
