But what if you don't like his personality and think he's a spineless poodle who would serve under any leader with any policies just so he could further his career?

I have met him several times......he was brought up in same town as me etc. its not that I don't like him/his "non" politics.....(which I dont).....it's just that I cannot look at him, or take him in anyway seriously because of the way he looks. He just seems to invite people to take the piss out of him. If he wants anyone to take him seriously then he needs to at least look serious.

Andy Burnham is one of the biggest twats in politics, he talks bullshit and and wraps it in riddles, has no real policies unless he has borrowed it from someone else's manifesto. He led a character assassination on Corbyn and his policies in the run up to labour leader election. In one debate he said that Corbyn would be a complete disaster as labour leader and then in the same sentence said he would be proud to serve in a Corbyn cabinet. He has less of a spine than a spitting image puppet.

I met him a few years ago when he was Secretary of State for Health, and I went to the House of Commons to photograph him for a charity presentation. Nice bloke, but he can deny the eye liner thing for as long as he likes, my camera never lies!

Hence why I can't stand him. I didn't like chuka umunna all that much until I got a lot of respect for him for backing up his words with actions.

Central

They largely are all in it for their own careers so he'd not be unusual. He's right to pursue what interests him - then it's up to the electorate to decide.

There really are many worse politicians out there in all probability.

David Milliband, Chuka Umunna and dare I say Jeremy Corbyn would rather step aside than serve under something they didn't believe in

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He hasn't been selected yet, he's just throwing his hat in the ring.

I don't believe he is wearing eye liner but even if he does what of it?

He should admit it.

The public has a right to know, it's probably on his expenses anyway along with some eyebrow tinting.

ah yeah, expenses. When he cried about his expenses claim was being scrutinised claiming his wife would divorce him if they were turned down.

I bet that made the mascara run

There is something about him I just don't trust

He strikes me as insincere

He tries too hard to be 'one of us'

He strikes me as a person who is keen to get on - whatever it takes

Something just doesn't site right with me

"Wasn't he caught trying to surpress the Stoke Hospital debacle?"

He was the Health Secretary while all the scandal was happening at Stafford hospital. During the inquiry into what happened at Stafford hospital he didn't seem to want to be very cooperative with the process. Needless to say he is now not very popular with the people of Staffordshire.

Burnham is a career politician so he will operate in between blurred lines just in case he needs an escape.

I find it amusing that an Evertonian would want to be lord Mayor of the republic of Mancunia he obviously needs the money!

Nowt wrong to aspiring to be a champagne socialist that is of course and unless the great unwashed have the same aspirations?

George Galloway was accused of being a champagne socialist, he replied that he was a bollinger Bolshevik. Typical of that arsehole that even average champagne isn't good enough for him.

George is another parasite who would say anything to get elected. Even pretending to be Muslim because nobody would vote for him on the strength of any policies.
