Hola...

Had a thought...so thought id ask...

Ive read other members discussing the fact that they had had their pics pinched from their profile...and people have set up new profiles using their pics... Yeah ok some sad perverse pic collector may go to that trouble...

What about pics being taken and used in a commercial way?? Anyone ever heard of that????

There seem to be lots of profiles on here that have never been verified or foto verified but they have tonnes of friends??? ( and they have been members for months++++ ) WTF???

Also the disclaimer at the bottom of most profiles doesnt mean shit so whats the point? If someone wants ur pics and they can get them...they will. Admin have even gone as far as saying the disclaimer just uses valuable server space.

Dont wanna start a riot...but would love to hear from anyone with an opinion of any of that! ! !

I contacted someone on here (verified) to tell them I had seen their pics on on mature dating website that rumour had it created fake profiles. She did not seem bothered

I've not heard of people's pics from here being used in a commercial way.

Whilst there are plenty of fantastic photos on here, they're usually fairly small and tbh using the internet it's really not difficult to find pictures of naked people if you want them.

Sometimes it seems as though porn makes up 90% of the entire internet... and the other 10% is bloody Facebook and Twitter pages.

Firstly, as above, don't put anything in public on the Internet that you don't want to go far and wide and be around forever.

Secondly, I doubt the standard disclaimer will put anyone off 'stealing' your pictures. But presumably (since you posted them) you are the copyright holder, so there's nothing to stop you making that clear in your profile, along with a notice that anyone who uses them agrees to pay a charge of £x per image. That way, if they do crop up somewhere else, you can at least invoice them for their usage. Not sure I'd want to take someone to court to argue over payment for pictures of my cock though!

dont think anyone wants there pics used in the wrong way. but ita a risk everyone takes. and people who use or createw profiles from other are just sad or ugly. or both lol

its easy to take anyones pics from here though all you have to do is right click save and you have any ppics to do what you want with if u have photo shop you can crop them u can set fake up no hassel .....had it done to me not long ago mind it got banned straight away ,was a ex that did it but give my mobile out 2 .so u always get a fake on here or other sites .

TBH yeah in theory you have mechanical and intellectual copyright of your images but if anyone uses them, you are going to have to spend a lot of money in court getting your entitlement ,usually far far more than any money you would make made.

Its why i dont have a problem with the black silhouette gang ,its down to acceptable risk for you .

to be honest with ya in real life i bet half this site is fake profiles ,they r ones that spoil it for the good guys ,but as long as they dnt get there ip banned they will take pics make fake profiles up ....only site i know that have banned ip adresses is lookitsme if u banned you cnt ever get bk on the account from that pc .but you will always get people using pics and setting profiles up .simple as dnt have them on keep them private send to who u trust u have that option .

admin dnt ban them all time if u look through site ya will see people r sick reporting to admin they get banned cme back in new name u tel;l my how they can sit there 24 hours day check every profile ??????in possible unless ya ban ip address .

As was said above there are ways around an IP ban anyway and in a lot of cases people don't have static IP addresses and they can change everytime you log onto your router (I did say can)

Banning of mobile dongle IP addresses is also a problem for various reasons that I won't go into here, but in saying that I'm sure Admin do have other ways of checking up on who is logging on

The best way for them to check is for people to report any profile they feel are fake

The best way I can think of to stop 'fake' profiles is to make photo verification compulsory for all users before they can become active.

That'd be fairly foolproof wouldn't it?

Almost all domestic ADSL connections are dynamic ip, so blocking by ip address is practically useless.

I'll probably get slated and criticized for this post and/or my opinion but here goes anyway.

I've found that NEARLY everyone i've talked to on the net(this site and others)have lied to some degree on their profiles(or when i've chatted to them).

These lies range from the so called "little white lies" to out and out complete bullshit.

and from what people have been telling me,they have experienced the same.(Unless they were lying too,lol)

Now please,

before the onslaught starts,i'm definately not saying everyone lies,but in my experience and the experience of the genuinely honest people i've talked to,a very lot do.Your experience may be different and maybe i just attract them sort of people.

There are some genuinely honest,decent,good people on the net and this site(You know who you are)

Was on a different site a while ago,when i got a message from someone asking if my profile pic was real because i was really good looking(what they wrote,NOT my opinion)and i was really flattered and thought it was a great introduction...................untill i looked at they're profile and trying to pass it off as they're own they had a picture of model/actress Mishca Barton.

Should have known something was wrong from they're introduction.

well once you put any pic online its no longer your own unless you copyright it.

it will cost you but if you dont want your pic out there then its worth it.

A lot of the picture stealing and setting up fake profiles is done by jealous men and women who want to catch partners out. I would complain to the site admin if someone was using one of my pics, but other than that what can you really do. Commercially I dont think its very likely but if I ever saw my pic on a billboard in Trafalgar Square or on the cover of the latest Take That album Id take them to court.
