What track or song brings back an instant memory to you, whether good or bad

I was sitting in a bar a few nights back and the Dire Straights - Brothers in Arms came on, instant tear to my eye and memories on 1982, a sad time

but I am sure there are tracks that make you remember the good days too

Sit down...my oldest brother jumping in the air and landing on his ass near breaking his tailbone in the process...he's no longer with us but that song makes me happy and sad at the same time

Sacrifice by Elton John. It was always playing in the special care baby unit. Twenty six years and I still can't listen to it all the way through.

Now I've swung back down again

It's worse than it was before

If I hadn't seen such riches

I could live with being poor

classic song, amazing words;

There are many tunes that bring back many memories. As a 54 yr old where do I start? To pick even one a decade would be a challenge in itself ffs

Reading the post and thinking the exact same thing , apart from the 54yr old bit

N-Trance Set You Free always reminds me of my first lads holiday back in 2001. Being young, carefree and reckless. Good times.

Voodoo Ray by A Guy Called Gerald .... reminds me of a scorching summer weekend in 1989, standing on the roof of my mates bus watching thousands of folks grooving in the sunshine on ingleston common and hundreds of police in the background being able to do fuck all about it .... good times
