However sweeping generalisations about what constitutes a single person are ridiculous; over 50% of people in this country over the age of 16 are single..... That percentage increases when you get over the 40 age group.....

"Oh another tongue in cheek single bashing thread... 1. I live with my mum; she had a number of TIAs and has MS; I look after her, thats what sons do 2. The house is decorated as you would expect a 60+ year old's house to be decorated 3. I do the ironing, cooking and cleaning; I do iron my own underwear. 4. I am semi-retired so I get a 4 day weekend and can meet daytimes on Thursday and Friday 5. No I don't leave the house after 10pm; I believe its called respect 6. No I don't do last minute meets on a Friday or Saturday evening - I have usually had a glass of wine or two and don't drink and drive 7. I live in rural Devon; as such mobile phone signal is pap; I can whatsapp chat, but no; I don't give out my home phone number (you can now phone whatsapp, which is a bonus) However judging by this thread these are all "clues" to me not being single; so I must be in a relationship or married; lucky me
The way to tell if someone is single or not is usually just to ask them; if they lie, well they are going to lie about a lot of things; so you wont win there. The men on these forums delight in highlighting what points at a man being in a relationship or single; because over time the consensus sways towards "only meet those that can accommodate"...the motive is transparent.
Most of the single guys that I know, that are in a relationship CAN accommodate; they and their partner have separate accommodation for lots of reason, but I guess that counts for nothing.
The clues you seek are in their behaviour, not in their accommodation status, or how quick they are to jump to the snapping of your fingers....
