Anyone going to Chester races few guys from work are going I've never been before thinking of staying over Friday and Saturday is it any good ?

It's ok, went last September through National Holidays, they do a coach/hotel/food/entry ticket deal for Chester.

£4 a pint as you'd expect and overly expensive food for low quality as you'd also expect in these places. But had a good craic with other people there and all that kind of thing. Worth doing.

My mate judged booked us a hotel two nights room each £140 thought that was a good price much do you think you'll new to take with you ? I'm not a gambler to be honest just going to socialise with other work mates £400 be enough ?

I've been a few times and it is a good day out. The best part is you can walk into town afterwards so no hanging about waiting for taxis etc. I normally take £10 a race and keep to that limit then beer money on top. I guess it's up to you on what you can afford to lose lol.

Think there was 8 races we decided to bet £5 each per race. Up to you how you do it. For the night depends what you plan doing how much you'll need.

Chester races is great fun! And walking distance into the city centre after. If you're going to want to eat tho, you'll have to book somehwere as everywhere will be rammed!

Thanks one of the guts from work has booked a few pubs for us afterwords I'm looking forward to it as I said never been before don't know what to expect should be a good weekend

Chester races are Fab we usually go in the we normally go in the county long room suits and ties for the men sexy dresses for the ladies, Friday night races are good then the Saturday race day is fantastic

The course itself is lovely and of course Chester is a great town.

Book a restaurant before you go as they are always full up

Most of the chinese restaurants serve set menu's

Thank you we have booked a few places to go to after the races one of the work mates lives near Chester so he dealt with that side of it I'm really looking forward to it think the Friday will just be a few drinks in the hotel don't want to feel to Ruf on the Saturday and spoil it
