...Cuts!!!! I've been affected. Knee op this Thursday has been postponed. Said they had an influx of emergencies at weekend and routine preplanned ops have to be put back.

sorry to hear that at least you didnt go into hospital wait and then be told to go home know it doesnt help but that is worse x hope it comes thro soon for you

Yeah I asked when - they said 'we'll let you know'. I was all psyched up and my daughter had booked a couple of days holiday to look after me till the weekend which she can't change so I feel crap about that.

I hope I get sent to a private hospital Tra!!!

Been waiting nine months now - usually you get something worthwhile out of that sort of wait - glad its not the usual bundle of joy

sounds like my grandad was fortunate then.. was requested and 8 weeks later he had recieved his full knee replacement

I can't have a knee replacement because I am deemed too young. I just have to have this procedure from time to time to ease the problem. It still means I am in pain and it will recur. Of course those who can benefit from knee and hip replacements should be given them at the expense of preventative treatment. I can still walk I bet your poor grandad was struggling more. Wish him well from me xxx

He's a stubborn git and refused treatment for a long time. he spent a year and a half in hospital after a very serious bike accident when he was 21. He refused to go into hospital after that,, its only since my daughters come along he decided he wanted it sorted. He had to practically crawl up the stairs before and could do the food shopping.. he's a whole new man.
