Met them at work once.

Ant was really interested in everything and friendly and chatty with all the staff.

Dec was on his phone while and it was clearly just another day at work for him.

I can understand that but the contrast between the 2 of them was remarkable.

It is meaningless. Being honoured for significant contributions amongst someone who sang a one hit wonder just turns it into a pisstake. There are better ways of acknowledging someone than meeting a member of the Royal family.
