There is no romance here.

It does happen I'm afraid and I don't think it will ever change. I can only suggest that if you feel it will affect you negatively you might be in the wrong place. It is also true that you can meet all the criteria but not be what the people are after looks wise, again it's not a personal insult it just means their preference is for a different type.

They are looking for what "they" want, not what you think they want. For many there has to be a physical attraction and if it isn't there they aren't going to take things further.

Just the nature of the site I'm afraid.

The ones that make me laugh are the profiles with a long list of criteria and then 10 verifications, non of which are even close to the stated requirements.

Meeting someone's criteria does not mean a guaranteed meet. If you meet all the criteria on a job application, it doesn't mean you're entitled to that job does it?

They've blocked you, so you have your answer, forget it and look for others.

As a single man the criteria is harder here than getting a job at nasa you must be within a certain distance you must be non smoker you must be totally hairless you must be totally bi ,must be able to stimulate .string proper sentences together must be cute must be hung must apply for weeks in advance must send face pic and mobile number must be verified must be able to accommodate ...of you don't meet on of these then keep scrolling

You have to forget the normal rules of politeness. Blocking isn't a reflection on you or a personal insult, it's just how the people handle their account.

We clearly set out what we like but still people message thinking we will just say yeah ok go on then. The criteria is there for a reason and if you don't for it then just move on. It's not a big deal tbh

Just had a guy message acknowledging that he was out of my age range, I did look at his profile in case I was dismissing too easily but there were other things where he didn't meet what I was looking for so I didn't reply. Within a couple of minutes he messaged again being a bit insulting so I blocked. He then messages from his couples profile having a go so I explained if he was so rude and disrespectful to read what I'm looking for and be pushy having a go then of course I would block. I'd never accept anyone being like that with me in person so won't on here either.

Don't agree! You don't know what has taken place! We don't all go into graphic detail! Some things are private

Plus verifications may be from friends too....

But I go with my instincts and I also need to fancy someone so even if they 'tick the boxes', if I don't feel any attraction then I won't be interested anyway.

I only block if someone is rude and crass OR if I have already sent a polite 'no thankyou' and they come back with questions asking me like 'why won't I meet them' etc... Sometimes if I am in a bad mood and they are insistent. ..I tell them exactly why! Well they did ask! Oddly. ..they don't like the answer! So don't ask then! Accept the polite decline and exit with your dignity intact. Nothing worse than a grovelling man!!

The thing is you can't win on here if you don't like somebody and ignor them a lot stand sending abusive mail, a guy mailed me yesterday and I send a polite no thanks and he replied "you must have some interest in me or your wouldnt have replied" so for a lot to block just saves all the hassle
