How far will you go for a decent pic?

So, we all like to take a decent picture, and if we're all honest we make sure we put our best side forward when we do (all of my face pics are of the back of my head)

But.... I've been checking out the hot pics (for science!) to see if I could spot anything that is more than just good lighting, and some of the top hotpics are so clearly photoshopped it's crazy that they're still popular....

The question that I put before you:-

Is that false advertising?

In that case are any of the ladies who wear make up in their pictures false advertising too?

Am I false advertising because I use black & white pictures as they hide skin imperfections?

Photoshop or not, its irrelevant unless you're going to meet that person. There are photoshoped pictures in every magazine as well.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I don't shop my pics, apart from hiding identifying features.

But are the top pics on here for meeting people? I thought the people uploaded them for Fabs, so therefore shopping is probably OK.

I have seen some very badly shopped cock shots though. You do wonder how people think they won't have some very disappointed people if they ever did get round to meeting.

Never photoshopped a pic as we meet so many people we would rather they see us as we are .

When you look at the top fabbed pics , many don't meet at all , or only cam .

None of mine are photoshopped - However I wouldn't upload a pic I wasn't happy with. Though I am always thinking of new ideas and buying different items to take different types of pictures to keep things fresh

I use arty filters sometimes but never actually photoshopped.

If you intend to meet you'll be found out anyway so no point doing drastic reconstructive photography is there?

some of my pics aren't clear, i still shoved them up anyway.

don't see the point in misrespresenting yourself if you're meeting because the other person will have a fantasy in their head of you and when they meet they're gonna be turned off possibly and feel they wasted their time meeting you.

i have bad pics of me up as well as ones that i look good in.

And that's my point, at what point does it become dishonesty?

I guess that if what you want from this site would dictate your answer. If you're here for an ego stroke, then that's the way to do it. I can't help but think that it must be pretty hollow though.

If you're here to meet, then you're clearly living in cloud cuckoo land - but like you say, most aren't here to meet....

Hands up ~ I'll admit to photo editing mine on my iPhone.

I don't shave off any lumps / bumps or iron out any imperfections but I do play around with lighting & colour filters because I enjoy it.

Never given anyone a nasty surprise when I've actually met them in reality, yet!

I play about with them occasionally, you can increase the temperature, and colour saturation as well as increase the dark-spot. I can get my hair to look über ginger if I do it right..... It can really make a sunny landscape picture pop too...

I use it to get rid of distinguishing features like tattoos and a birthmark. I think the only issue is where people have a profile with no candid shots to share; I don't tend to be that influenced by looks but I would be annoyed if someone looked very different to what they had told me they looked like more due to the deception. If someone isn't looking to meet though then they can indulge in portraying a fantasy version of themselves. It's not exactly hurting anyone in that instance.

Strange this is being asked. I've received 2 messages today saying my pictures must be photoshopped as they're nice. It was meant as a compliment, but it just seems rude to me. I also would've removed blemishes and bra strap marks on my skin if I edited them.

For me, if you're pulling the image around to hide your shape, accentuate a breast here, shrink a waste there..... Essentially, I don't think that filters, colour alteration or even cropping constitutes false advertising as they don't change what you actually look like. All of us here advertise ourselves. If you arranged to drive a Ferrari and turned up to find a Metro I think you'd be suitably frustrated.

As said before. If you're actually looking to meet, I don't think you should do it. If you want people to fab your pics, fills yer boots.

I crop, and fart about with the settings on my phone. That's about it. I put up what I think (hope) looks good.

I also hold my stomach in and sometimes knock a few press ups out before I take a chest pic in a vain hope of having any definition to my chest haha.

On face pics I never know where to look and most of them look like I'm in the process of passing wind.

Still, all I've got to work with is me so people can like it or lump it.

I post pics that portray me in my best light; I don't manipulate or cover my scars, my slimness, my hairline or the size of my cock. I have quite good coloured skin, but prefer B&W, always have done, but there are oodles of coloured pics in my friends gallery...

...Its very easy to spot photoshopped images if they are drastic (cock size/waist/etc.), but completely understand why people remove tattoos ; scars; jewellery etc...

To be honest; the pictures are the first thing; its the conversation that catches me; if that works I can forgive an artistic licence..

Tend to find women are way bigger than their pics. As my wife said, women who get thinner update their pics, women who get bigger leave the thinner ones on.

So I tend to view with a little suspicion now any female profile that has a couple of pics that have been there for years with not a single new one for a long time.

Nothing wrong at all with putting weight on, don't want to be misunderstood about that. Some women look much better with a bit more on, others don't (your pics look great btw). I'm just responding to the issue of representation.

I have used filters for lighting in a couple of my pics , & have hidden a mosquito bite that was so huge it needed its own post code on my arse too. But I believe that if people don't like the way I look they don't have to look at me lol! Simple just go to the next profile

Also if you meet someone & you've totally photo shopped yourself you can't blame them if they feel a bit cheated , so why bother??

I do understand what you mean. I haven't met other women socially but when some have revealed their dress size / weight in a thread I've thought that doesn't seem to correspond with the photos I am seeing.

Maybe it's because I have a preconceived idea of what a certain size should look like visually.

I play around with the lighting and filters because I like artsy shots. Most of the time it's the camera angle for me. If i weren't meeting people I'd probably be a size 8 and bigger boobed haha. So far people that I've met haven't said anything bad or differentin a negative way, it's been mostly positive. I've had a few guys sigh a bit of relief after seeing me in person that I actually look like me lol.

Invest in a tripod for your phone, they cost next to nowt off a certain bay. Set it up, video record yourself posing, then pause the video and scan through it until you get a decent still, then take a screenshot. Ta da, highly recommend this method for self taking of piccies.
