BMW UK is just the name of the importer.

All warranty work, etc goes through them and direct contact with the factory.

Specs for emissions won't differ as its bound by Euro4/5/6, etc.

It's the extra special factory that disables the indicators isn't it? (prays Number One Chap doesn't read this as I'll be on the naughty step)

Bought my car back in January and the indicators kept flashing just before I turned corners. Anyway took it to a garage and they couldn't stop it, took it to the place I bought it from and they couldn't either!!

After 3 weeks their mechanic threw his spanners and sent it to bmw.

Unfortunately bmw had never seen this problem before, tried a couple of things and scratched their heads til they were bald!

Their manager looked and couldn't understand it and now the car has gone to bmw UK.

Maybe it's cos it was manufactu_ed a different factory, but I dunno why a mechanic in the UK who sees BMWs all the time wouldn't be able to fix it.

Cars are pretty much fixed on computers now, so I really have no clue why would they have to send it away

Indicators flashing may be an electrical fault instead of electronic, so perhaps that's where his skills fall short.

Have you tried looking on the bimmer forums? Might find your answer there. I found it brilliant when my 1 series went wrong.
