I am the only one who thinks slightly chubby women are fair sexier than skinny.

If so why do fashion companies use thin women to promote their goods

I don't know but bigger woman are sexier by a mile, whenever I see some proper skinny woman with no curves it freaks me out and I just think why would anyone want to have sex with something that looks like a very tall 10 year old boy?

I think most editorial models are more attractive than average women. It's why they're chosen. I personally don't find chubby attractive.

In the media and fashion industry, they find it desirable to have skinny ladies. They even consider women who are 10 stone as plus sized

What I find odd on fab is that people find it necessary to promote their point by using extremes! Why does everybody have to be compared to 'skinny'?

If you prefer larger women that's great - but just say that please.

I've come across very few 'skinny' people - which to me means emaciated - on fab or anywhere else!

Im a 'chubby' woman and would much rather be skinny!

It is nice to see more plus size models around now but thinner women will always rule when it comes to modelling and fashion (in my opinion)

I heard it was because most fashion designers are gay so they like the clothes to be worn by models with very boyish figures.

This may not be true

Weight isn't a good indicator of size. I'm heavier than most people my size, but still have the same measurements despite them being 7 stone and me being 8.

because regardless of what turns you on personally cloths just hang better on women with no lumps and bumps so their cloths look better and they are selling cloths not your next shag

As a 'fat' girl I should love these kind of posts. But, alas, I do not as I don't like love to see body shaming of any kind.

If I were slim, or 'skinny', I would be gutted to read these where masses of men (and women) come along as list what would be so unattractive about my body. Not only that, these threads seem to start attacking 'skinny' women's personalities, suggesting they're boring, stuck up, vain etc.

Why can we just celebrate a woman's body as it is?

Not sure why you're getting wound up. It was a reply to someone else. I still don't understand the mentality of "I'm being complimented so I should really be enjoying this, but I can't because someone else could be upset". It's just odd to me, as I wouldn't acknowledge the compliment part at all.

If someone is skinny, they are skinny. If someone is bigger (I never use the term fat or obese unless its extreme) then they are that. A lot of women actually struggle to put on weight, so telling them they "freak" you out is very insulting and demeaning

Sexy is sexy in my eyes no matter what the size. My biggest turn off is plastic, pouting Barbie girls who can't tell the difference between orange and a nice tan.

Given dulux csn copy any colour why can't fake tan companies actually copy the colour of tanned skin rather than ronseal?

"If someone is skinny, they are skinny. If someone is bigger (I never use the term fat or obese unless its extreme) then they are that. A lot of women actually struggle to put on weight, so telling them they "freak" you out is very insulting and demeaning"

Why do you feel it's ok to say skinny but not fat?

Manchester

Firstly, as a previous poster in the thread stated, fashion models are thin, and usually above average height, because clothes look better on them. It's not a sexual thing. You could even argue that they are genetically freakish because on a number of levels they are not at all average.

Now here's the rub. As an 'average' national body type, we are heading in the wrong direction - we are all, men and women, getting fatter and that is not good. The obesity crisis will cripple the NHS and it is all avoidable.

Within norms curvaceous body types are sexually appealing. Round bottoms, slender waistline and nice boobs indicate fertility and that is attractive to men.

However, being plain grossly overweight is not healthy and it is not attractive.

Those that say 'all women are beautiful' are lying, they are not. If it's men saying that then this is just a 'white knight' please shag me kiss arse comment.

Similarly, not all men are handsome either.

no it does not

two of my daughers are really slim, my youngesr more so, shes about 5ft 10 and a size 6/8 so she is a bit underweight, she eats shes just one of those lucky people who dont gain weight

some guy said to her once, if you didnt have feet would you wear shoes? she said ermmm no so he replied well what you got a bra on for

it really hurt her while everybody round her laughed at his joke, she came on and was in tears she said she never felt so embarrassed as they all laughed and made fun of her small chest

people seem to think its ok to poke fun at 'skinny' women because they can take it

you wouldnt dream of going upto a big girl and making jokes of her weight but somehow its acceptable if they are slim

Some people don't understand the difference between expressing an opinion and being oafishly offensive.

"I prefer larger ladies" is an opinion, an expression of preference.

"They are so much better than skinny women who look like men" isn't an opinion, that is you being an utter bellend.

You may think that the second comment justifies the position of the first. It may well do, but it doesn't mean you're any less of a bellend for stating it.

The same argument can be applied to big/small tits, big/small cocks, long/short hair, black/white people, fat/thin blokes.

In short, if you need to denigrate a section of society to justify your opinion. Then you're a bellend.

Us ladies are like a big bag of pick and mix sweeties, a multitude of different shapes, sizes, colours, sweetness, sharpness and textures. But all really rather yummy in our own funny wee ways.

Now I really like green jelly babies, and I can manage to put that point across without feeling the need to tell the world that I find chocolate limes a bit icky and can't touch bonfire toffee.

Let's appreciate the lovely ladies in all their varieties and leave bitchy comparisons where they belong, in the big Fab bin of irrelevance.

It is the same as a porn producer selecting a male performer with an above average cock size.

Be it fashion or porn, the buyers want to see aspirational body types.

Interestingly, the fashion industry is run by women and gay men.

The land of grey peas and bacon

There is a new wave of plus size models coming onto the scene with Milk signing up a few. I think in fashion you need both sets because I don't want to see a slim woman modelling plus size clothing it makes no sense as I cannot relate to that picture because the clothes would look completely different on me.

What I don't like as said is just all the insults and slagging off on size etc. i've been slim very slim in fact and now I'm fat I'm more happy with myself than I've ever been but I don't put it down to size I put it down to age and more confidence.

If so why do fashion companies use thin women to promote their goods

I don't know but bigger woman are sexier by a mile, whenever I see some proper skinny woman with no curves it freaks me out and I just think why would anyone want to have sex with something that looks like a very tall 10 year old boy?

"As a 'fat' girl I should love these kind of posts.

Sassy

Not sure why you should love someone liking your body to the detriment of someone else's confidence? It's not nice saying "this is better than that". "

I think you may have misunderstood, i meant that considering I'm not a slim woman it would seem that larger women would enjoy reading these threads saying that their larger body is better, sexier, nicer etc that a slim woman's body. But, for me, that isn't the case.

I cringe when I see slimmer women being body shamed as much as I do a larger women. The comparisons that are made are awful and not even true. I wouldn't shame a women with a smaller figure to mine to feed my body confidence and I wouldn't indulge in these kinds of threads to do that for me either.

All that matters is that we do.

two of my daughers are really slim, my youngesr more so, shes about 5ft 10 and a size 6/8 so she is a bit underweight, she eats shes just one of those lucky people who dont gain weight

some guy said to her once, if you didnt have feet would you wear shoes? she said ermmm no so he replied well what you got a bra on for

it really hurt her while everybody round her laughed at his joke, she came on and was in tears she said she never felt so embarrassed as they all laughed and made fun of her small chest

people seem to think its ok to poke fun at 'skinny' women because they can take it

you wouldnt dream of going upto a big girl and making jokes of her weight but somehow its acceptable if they are slim "

Actually a friend was at a club recently when a couple walked past her and said "Fat people offend me"

When they were told, it was unacceptable, they said "If it offends them, they should do something about it" so yes, fat people are commented on too.

It's unacceptable no matter what the size of the person.

"Some people don't understand the difference between expressing an opinion and being oafishly offensive.

"I think most editorial models are more attractive than average women. It's why they're chosen. I personally don't find chubby attractive.

I have to agree

You clearly haven't met Rachel Khoo then !

oh yea very pretty ,,but I reckon she'd look better if she was slimmer.

but hey ho,i get yer point

told you

You know it's possible to prefer slimmer body types and not think everyone who is larger is absolutely disgusting and hideous?"

The thing is they veil it with humour I haven't got an issue with people not preferring larger women but what I don't like are the snide comments and insults and the threads that mask it in humour the same way as it does with slim people. I'm quite comfortable in my layer of wobble but seriously sometimes adults on here act worse than children.

Some people just aren't nice, but at least it's an open warning as to who not to meet. I wouldn't want anyone who would choose to offend someone for their body type.

London and Essex

I saw the thread title and the old playground rhymes about fatty and skinny popped into my head e.g. "Fatty and skinny went up in a rocket, and fatty came back with a poo in his pocket." All innocent nonsense when I was about 7 years old, no harm done (at least I hope not).

And these labels of skinny and fat etc. feel like a load of nonsense today. Enjoy what you like, but be polite. Easy. And let's try and leave those labels behind- it is Friday after all. Plus the sun's out here today and it feels rather summery indeed. Which is nice, as I'll allow myself to steal a glance at all the lovelies in their summer clothes as they pass by the office window

Everyone is welcome to their preferences. Starting a thread pitting different shapes, colours and sizes against each other is NOT okay.

I'm a fat woman and won't stand for ANY SIZE woman being body shamed, made to feel they are less than, for being whatever size they are.

Don't compare women to insects, you're being vile.

I haven't read the whole thread, so this may be repeating something.

Meghan Trainer released her new music video this week and it transpired that her waist had been airbrushed to be smaller. She's not a big lady anyway. She subsequently released the version as she truly is and said she didn't know it had been altered. It's these examples that cause issues with self image.

some guy said to her once, if you didnt have feet would you wear shoes? she said ermmm no so he replied well what you got a bra on for

it really hurt her while everybody round her laughed at his joke, she came on and was in tears she said she never felt so embarrassed as they all laughed and made fun of her small chest

people seem to think its ok to poke fun at 'skinny' women because they can take it

you wouldnt dream of going upto a big girl and making jokes of her weight but somehow its acceptable if they are slim

Actually a friend was at a club recently when a couple walked past her and said "Fat people offend me"

When they were told, it was unacceptable, they said "If it offends them, they should do something about it" so yes, fat people are commented on too.

It's unacceptable no matter what the size of the person.

Yeah im calling bullshit on that one.

Who the fuck says to somone out of the blue "fat people offend me".

You weren't there. It happened.

You werent there either from the sound of it

I was at the club, she told me about it. She complained to the staff who spoke to the couple. I like the way you haven't said to the person who told the story about her daughter, that she wasn't there either

Well that story was beliveable

This sounds an untterly bizarre thing to say unless they weren't English "

Unfortunately you would not believe the abuse and rudeness us 'tubbies' (a fab members words not mine!!) receive

All women are beautiful in their own right.

However the fashion industry wants you to look at the clothes rather than the woman wearing them, hence preferring a certain sized female. Some models are stunning, some not so (in my opinion)

Fat,thin, chubby, tall, short blah blah blah... Surely at the end of the day it's the person inside that matters even on a Swinging site!??

"Fuck you guys.

All women are awesome, fat, thin, medium, skinny, whatever. Keep this shit in your profiles and go for the women you fancy.

"

This x1000000 I can't even be arsed to read the rest of it.

Once again someone cannot state a preference without disparaging someone else. It's ridiculous!!!

Op is only voicing an opinion.

We all have our preferences.

True. No different to the forums who compare old.. young.. black.. indian people etc.

Huamns are humans.. we all have preferences doesnt mean we are putting others donwn.

I dunno, saying "chubby is sexier than skinny" (skinny is considered derogatory by most) seems like they're putting thin women down for not being sexy enough.

only to some, its obvious no slim women is going to find it hard to get a meet on here, fab has always had a battle of the sizes

loads of men find slim women sexy id say far more than men who find big women sexy, one thread on fab does not really depict the opinion of the general population

No you're right, slim women don't struggle to find meets. It just doesn't mean that it's okay to use them as a platform to attract larger women though.

no it does not

some women can't help being skinny, or maybe they even prefer not to be fat and like their own bodies even? shock women has body type to suit herself and not men...

i do think companies promote that body partly to do with eugenics though and partly because their clothes fit better on slimmer women. plus it uses less material and they can cut costs there.

Some fancy certain sizes some fancy other sizes.

If someone's not for you then don't think anymore on it. Every woman isn't designed just for you as you aren't designed for every woman.

If someone feels the need to make someone feel bad about the way they look it's says far more about their own insecurities than anything else.

This type of post is a daily occurrence and I'm sure you didn't mean to cause offence op but it clearly does. Try not to compare people just say what you like and leave it there....
