Newcastle and Gateshead

so.... since danny welbeck has been ruled out for 9 months (gutted for him as he was playing really well for arsenal)

who replaces him on the plane....

if we assume, kane, vardy, rooney and sturridge are going.... do you take a 5th striker... or a striker/midfielder... or a midfielder

I always think scoring regularly in a poor team is a fantastic demonstration of top form...

... so, Jermaine Defoe anyone?

London and France

Why are footballers on strike?

They get far too much money already

"I would give Rashford a chance"

Whilst I like rashford it's to early I think. I think Defoe may be an option

Carrol was shit yesterday

Reading

I don't think anyone outside of those 4 is really good enough. But for me it would need to be Carroll. Purely for if we're a goal down with 5 mins to go against good 'footballing' defenders. When he's in the mood he's a real handful. He just isn't in the mood often enough!

Cannock

Theo Walcott, can play striker or midfield, always a good sub option, blistering pace and comes up with the odd goal when needed.

He can't get in the Arsenal side.

And he's no better than when he was 17

I reckon Roy Hodgson will choose Townsend to replace Wellbeck.

I did say just as a sub option. Unlikely he would get a game with Rooney, Kane, Vardy and Sturridge the first choice options. As he can play midfield too it gives more options in case of injury. Need versatile players in the squad who can cover other positions. Milner is another versatile player who can play different positions.

I think Drinkwater should be the first name on the list when it comes to the midfield.

He was only taking 5 as a way of shoe horning in Rooney so he will probably just take 4 and an extra attacking midfielder. I think an impact player would be the best option.

Milner is a work horse, but a horse non the less. He has no place in the England team

4-4-2 worked well for Leicester City this year.

I'd take Rashford and Defoe. Wouldn't take Sturridge. Owen and Rooney were both young , nothing seems to faze Rashford.
