OMFG!

She and her 79yo husband had gone through two years of IVF.

The poor child is all I can say!

Difficult isn't it - I don't know the whole background? Is it their first child? Did they lose a child?

She must be physically fit or they wouldn't have let her do it.

Is this a new story as I'm sure I've seen similar before?

Sarah

Found the article,

The couple, married for 46 years, had almost lost hope of ever having a child and had faced ridicule in a country where infertility is sometimes seen as a curse from God.

Interesting that you have to clarified her ethnicity on the title of your Thread...

Well India is hardly underpopulated as anyone who has visited can tell you. By the way, she is a woman and she is from India.

"See above."

we often report stuff in the same way the media have represented it.

i've seen this headline so much this past few days and ignored it. didn't actually think someone in their 70s had had a baby coz of all the clickbait with 'sensational' headlines.

"I was just wondering what was revelant... the fact she is old or the fact she is Indian ? "

she is a 70something year old woman living in India (they cant be too precise about the age as they don't have birth certificates like they do here) so I guess the answer is both bits of information are relevant

All I can say is why

Running around after a toddler is tiring enough when your young how you going to keep a toddler who's into everything safe when your in your 70s

So just because there are kits of people living in India people should not want to have children of their own?

Personally I do think that perhaps their age should have meant they didn't have the treatment as undoubtedly she would have gone through menopause already.

That poor child is "Life" brought into this World, that child could grow into a great leader changing things for the better

Everyone deserves a chance and to bear a child at that age, surely we can only wish the child well and hope it prospers into a great future.
