Here's a couple to start...

Enid Blyton Famous 5

Used to really enjoy reading those and imagine I was actually involved in their adventures. Ha

May look on ebay and buy some to read in bed at night

Also the Beano comics and annuals were fun. Dennis the Menace Gnasher and Jerememy Snodgrass etc

I still have my Malory Towers and St Clairs books, but also loved Ballet Shoes, and Five Children and It.

Bunty and Girl magazines were my main reads...and Beano of which I am still a proud member of the fan club!

Then Smash Hits and Viz took over my life and that's when the road to depravity started

Some of those American comics you could other x ray specs and sea monkeys to put in a fish bowl???

And lots of spy and secret agent stuff !

Swallows and Amazon's, my sister still has our collection from when we were kids. I bought my kids the Famous Five, Secret Seven, Mallory Towers and Chalet School books, I occasionally borrow them to read now.

What were those books you had to turn to a particular page depending on your choice of how to react to a particular scenario? A game book if you will.

The warlock of witch mountain was one of them if memory serves..i liked those alot.

and my mum caught me reading Lady Chatterley's lover

did anyone one read judy blume?..with the boy that called his penis 'Ralph'...lol..that was my first 'naughty book' apart from the joy of sex..

you can see where it all went wrong cant you?...lolol

I borrowed my sisters Jackie Collins and Harold Robbins books when I was 13. hardly understood a word of them.

Loved reading comics as a kid,n still do now as a big kid!

Asterix was a firm favourite,as were the freak brothers.Had all the freak brothers comics by 10 years old!My auld dear had a fairly liberal approach to parenting!

I was mainly into Marvel and DC comics. I had a subscription to Spider-man comic down at the local newsagent and would go and collect it each time the new one arrived. Batman was my favourite from DC.

I also liked the Beano, Dandy and Topper comics, would sometimes get a quick look at Viz when other kids brought it into school.

Also used to read commando, warlord and various dc and marvel comics. Used to get whizzer and chips.

Loved 2000AD.

Bought it from issue 1.

Stopped buying it when it rose in price to the extortionate price of 12p!

Not realising the value, my mum threw them all out when I left home

Loved the Apocalypse War and the fact that it was the real purpose of Block Mania, and loved the Dark Judges.

Shout out too to Nemesis the Warlock and Rogue Trooper. I vividly remember the Dreamweaver Tanks.

Oh and Judge Anderson. Mmmm.....

Fighting Fantasy range of books.

Forest of Doom, City of Thieves, the Sorcery! series etc.

Big collectors scene for those books now. I keep an eye out in charity shops for those as early ones are worth a fortune.

beano when i was little. warlord and bullet after that. then 2000ad when it first came out. then i got into Love and Rockets in the very early 80's followed by Deadline, Revolver, Crisis and Toxic in the late 80's, with a bit of Hellblazer thrown in too.

Forum was my favourite, it fitted into my school bag. I liked American comics like Screw and continental titles like colour climax. As I moved into my teens my tastes broadened to titles like Asian babes and readers wives.

I stopped reading comics when I left school
