No one is perfect. What bad driving habits do you feel you have succumbed to?

One rule - DO NOT PASS JUDGEMENT ON ANY OTHER POST OR POSTER.

Mine is: speeding on the motorway. If the flow of traffic is exceeding the limit I will keep up with it up to 80mph. If it's higher I will pull across unless that lane is crawling.

If I'm on the motorway I drive with one hand on the wheel. I also coast a lot but with the price of petrol I'm not sure its a bad habit any more.

My husband hates being in the passenger seat when I'm trying to put on makeup, drying my nail varnish by putting my arm out of the window and drinking coffee whilst driving.

He says they really are bad habits all rolled into one.

I can't stand people who faff about. My 3 year old has started yelling "oh come on" at people. At least there's no swearing.

I shout at people who don't use their indicators too. I speed too.... Is that enough of a confession

I can make it from my home in Devon to university in Bristol in 1hr30mins (a distance of 118 miles). Given that I queue for about 20-30mins to get into Bristol I "may" occasionally break the speed limit...

I reserve the right to say my account was hacked and I didn't type the above..

Mine is definitely speed on the motorway, not much overtakes me. I'm usually very well behaved in all other areas though. That being said I have just got my first speeding ticket for doing 35 in a 30 while manoeuvring round a cyclist who couldn't keep his bike straight. I must have been over the limit for all of 5 seconds but that's when they zapped me with their sneaky speed gun.

Going straight to neutral would increase stopping distance in emergency as it removes engine braking, it's also very fuel inefficient.

I can't believe people are being taught to drive badly on purpose!

you mean driving properly and being in the correct gear none of this coasting up to the lights in neutral . my bad habit putting the truck right against the curb to make cyclists either wait behind or pass on the right at junctions

I passed in Feb. I was taught to stay in first at lights etc, and get biting point ready. Had 2 instructors, not from same driving school, same method.

That's quite sensible, even now along the embankment (London) they have their own lane but STILL chose to use the road,and yes I do tend to make them overtake on the right too

Colleague took his class 2 Hgv test recently and was marked down for using his gears progressively to slow down for junctions .told at end of test not to bother and just use breaks as " break pads cost less than a gearbox " wtf slowing and controlling 44t of truck down hill on just the breaks recipe for disaster

When there a group of people at a junction all faffing around like a WI convention....its 'WORK IT OUT PEOPLE!!!!!!'

Then it's a handbrake turn and off into the sunset like a scene from 'The Fast and the Furious'

I may go a tad faster than I should on Motorways and dual carriageway. I am religious about the speed limits though the villages though, much to the disgust of many following drivers.

Holding the wheel one handed at 12 o'clock. I just find it more comfortable.

Shouting abuse at cyclists who go out in gangs and cycle two or more abreast on country lanes.

Staying well back behind horses until it's clear to pass wide and enjoying the sexy arse of the lady rider as she rises in the saddle and I'm thinking reverse cowgirl ....
