Why do some people make arrangements to meet, have you drive for 40 minutes. Then go offline and don't even bother to apologise or let you know that they arnt coming. They should be taken off the site

Now they have put up another meeting for Tuesday night at the same place.

I wouldnt lose sleep over it though

you probably arnt the first that she/he/them have done it to

and i doubt that you will be the last

Best to block them & move on, will start to wind you up otherwise & it ain't worth it.

That's awful and demoralising I'd think.

Report such users to admin who investigate and take action.

I always get interim progress reports, so it helps to confirm everything is good both ways. Perhaps offer to skype etc, to help confirm the user is who they claim to be and you may get a better gut feel if they're truthful.

They didn't make you do anything: you took a calculated risk and it didn't pay off.

We all have different ways of minimising such situations. I meet for socials during my lunch/after work. I'd be at lunch any way on way home so no inconvenience to me. If I was meeting at home carry work home with me/arrange my knickers drawer so day not wasted etc. This works for me: no time wasted.
