When you meet a guy, do you like him to dresses in a nice shirt, trousers and shoes, or just casual in jeans and a t shirt??

I personally normally dress smart in a shirt and trousers, sometimes jeans.

A good friend of mine told me she met a guy who turned up in skinny jeans, filthy white trainers and a t-shirt that didn't look washed. She wasn't very impressed at all...

there are times and places for suits, chilling having fun with me is not one of them. unless its black tie ad evening wear i prefer a man to be himself and im a sucker for the jeans and t-shirt look anyway x

We expect them to make an effort, whatever style clothing they are comfortable in but you can tell when time and effort has gone into achieving that look.

As long as it's something in which he is naturally comfortable and it's clean, all is well. Clean is the key.

I like shoes on a man,any kind,as long as they are shoes. But,I wouldn't turn a blind eye if a man turned up in trainers and a track suit,as long as they are clean. You can tell the difference between a person who doesn't wash or wash his clothes,to someone who has bunged on something comfy,after a shower.

When I worked as a creative in London 'suit' was a derogatory noun lol! Clean and casual is fine by me, however he is comfortable, just not sports wear.

Depends on the situation, I like jeans & t-shirt, boots, shirt etc.

All options really, as long as it's clean I don't mind.

Given our "look" would be a bit hipocritical to dictate someone else's, although have to admit a huge soft spot for the "jeans n leather" look.

Interesting comments ladies. Sometimes I'll wear a fresh t-shirt and jeans, but not trainers though.

Plus I will ALWAYS shower first and spray on a Lil bit of Armani, and I'm good to go

I don't normally fuss about what's going to be worn as long as fellas are clean and smell fresh. Although I did meet a young fella who turned up in a "roadman" trackie. It must have been brand new and left red fluff everywhere! Ah first world problems.

Probably depends where we are going. Jeans and a shirt/t shirt is fine. I like suits for certain occasions. I prefer shoes to trainers. Mr is a shoes man anyway.

For me this isn't about every day life in which I'm quite happy to meet men in jeans,trainers and tee shirts. It's about meeting people for mutual fantasy fulfilment and part of the fantasy for me starts with the men dressed in shirts, trousers (jeans just about acceptable) and shoes. I would never turn up to a meet social or otherwise in jeans and a tee shirt.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there...for many of us this is our little bit of fantasy so why wouldn't we want everything just right to fulfill that. If i want mr just finished work in jeans and trainers, i have a husband who fulfills that role everyday of the week. I like my men to make an effort. I always do. Its just part of the scenario......although i do definitely favour naked on a hotel bed
