The UK's new polar research ship has been named RRS Sir David Attenborough

The naming of the £200m pound vessel was originally left to be named by the British public who came up with name 'Boaty McBoatface'

But it was decided Boaty McBoatface wasn't a suitable name

Made my giggle anyway

They have put the rubbish name on a submarine now instead lol, at least some one some where had some sense

I much prefer david attenborough but it doesnt make much sense purpoesly putting something up for public vote then not going with it. Complete waste of fucking time they could of just called it david attenborough to start with not as though its some surprise name
