not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

So I telephone my service provider (tmobile) about a technical issue, the lady says "you're due an upgrade ..". "Am I" says me "what's that then?"... "Well for the same price I can give you 8 gig of data unlimited minutes and texts.". "Hmmm I've unlimited data minutes and texts at the moment ... So you want to downgrade me.". "No" she says "it's an upgrade".. "you can say upgrade as much as you like it's a downgrade if I'm getting less for the same money.. "

s ...I worry what the folk in customer service are told. or taught.

I'd be shopping around for any downgrade. Or even an upgrade.

Unless pressured that you're quitting your home network rarely offers anything that's worthwhile.

I imagine it's a sales commission move by the rep too, as mentioned above.

Businesses use of seemingly clear language, like unlimited, that invariably mean something different to us than to them, is legalised deception imo.
