Congrats to the new Labour MP for Barnsley Central, Dan Jarvis.

Dan, a former Para, won by a country mile leaving the Tories a poor third and the Lib Dems something like 5th or 6th.

Thanks to the people of Barnsley.

The good folk of Barnsley would vote for Bealzibub himself before letting the Tory`s in, so hardly a supprise.

I hope that the new MP is a little more trustworthy than the last labour MP...as he was jailed for 12 months for fiddling his expenses!!

Lib Dems ended up rather humiliated....unsurprisingly!!

Cograts to the 2 independents who both seen a healthy increase in their % vote

It's not so much that it's a spectacular Labour victory - more the fact that both the Tories and the Lib Dems did so badly.

The Lib Dems actually lost their deposit.

A brilliant result and the first of many.
