Does anyone fly a drone/ quadcopter etc. ?

Just dipping my toe into the world of RC flight and looking for a simple machine to get used to this.

The Syma XC5 is looking good and has a 2mp camera

I had a DJI phantom 2. Clever bit of kit. Not too expensive and reasonably easy to fly. Sadly I crashed and destroyed it. But was fun while it lasted.

Yep.. You're now on the slippery slope...

Here's your shive further down it.

If you want a big ish quad there's a few about. If you want one that carries a camera and can be programmed to fly where you like look at quanum Nova from HobbyKing.

FPV quad racing ( YouTube ) is the latest thing...

But.. Do look IP the drone code from the BMFA. As a hobby we don't need any more near misses with real planes!

Cant beat any of the phantom range, i have a fairly basic one with a go pro attached via a gamble, made so great films for my friend business, very easy to fly and found stronger than i though, after hitting power line and trees with no damage x

What's the ball park figure for a decent programmable camera one. Would love to get some decent pics of the house and it surroundings? Playing with my Nephews at Xmas and he lost it.

This would just be a hobby for me ... but would ultimately love to take a course to fly a wing
