How to keep private photos on your phone!

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

Prompted by the posts of another forum member, I wanted to let people know that there's a way of locking photos on your phone so others can see them.

I was told this by another Fabber on a meet ages ago and it's only fair I pass the info onto you all.

I use an app called Photo Vault on my iPhone which has a 4 digit pin so no one else can access them. It's also handy for keeping photos of guys I like for perving at a later date.

I'm sure it can't be the only app though, anyone know a good one for Samsung phones?

The big D

I keep my vids & pics in a secret folder, it requires an extra pin plus it looks v innocent amongst my other app games so it wouldn't be noticed. I just have to remember to keep loading my pics there & to delete from my gallery, I'm getting v lazy.

I do have my Fab app tho, I wonder if there's a way to disguise that.

But you can't keep the vault app private, it's on your screen!! Kind of defeats the object me thinks

Just think that you should be able to keep pics private in a seperate folder on any phone so it looks innocent to anyone looking at your phone!

If you have a vault app it's a bit of a give away!!

I thought whatsapp won't show pics once the pic source has been deleted?

I use the private mode on my Samsung phone.

Works on my iPhone.

Go in settings on the app as sometime the picture received automatically save into your album.

Finding pic's.

Phone is locked via pin.

Only Jools knows this we both know exactly what pic's we have.

If my kids play with my phone.

If I leave it unlocked somehow and it gets nicked.

If my mum picks it up "because I got a text" and clicked something random by mistake.

If my techy friend/siblings decide to "show me something cool you can do on your photo album.

If I'm showing a mate a random pic of my kids and accidentally swipe too far.

Umm I'm sure I can think of more!

You can if you pay the subscription of a quid a month or whatever it is..... I have no icon I just pop a pin into my phone as if I'm dialling a number and it opens like magic.

I too have had my mum flick through pics and my best mate got a hell of an eyeful the other week unintentionally before I'd transferred to vault!! Lucky she's my best mate!

Download Amazon photo app and put a password on it , when you take a pic on your mobile or download one or even receive one in a message it downloads onto Amazon photo automatically it stays there once deleted from from your phone . You can even log on on any pc or laptop and view them .

We use Flickr it takes all your photos on your phone and videos and puts them onto the app. (Make sure you upload to private ) you can then delete all photos of your photo stream. The app is password locked. You can also delete the app when ever you want and reload it with all the photos there. It has options to create folders and anything you want really.

Whetstone

I use keep safe it's good as the photos are encrypted and if you have to quickly clear the screen it doesn't show up in your recent apps list.
