It is world book day and all the kids are dressed up as their favourite characters so who inspired you as a child and what was your favourite character and for you guys who was your favourite comic book character. I love the classic Anne of green gables.

That really made me chuckle but then I had time to think about it....

(a) Can you reach the hanging rail in a wardrobe?

(b) Whoever the witch is....She is going to kick your arse when she reads this

(c) No sorry Craig, but you the lion in the bedroom?.....it just doesn't add up my darling

Hmmmmm...can't even remember not reading....just too many books to try and choose from. Earliest library books were Milly Molly Mandy and Paddington....but I read just about every book by Enid Blyton, most of the childrens classics, The whole range of The Borrower's (still got em all), Anne of Green Gables...and on and on...by the time I was 14 I was reading Dennis Wheatley, Neville Shute, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte and Tolkein. I used my own three library tickets, my mum's three and borrowed books from the school library.....it's a wonder that I ever had time to do anything else

I loved Malory Towers books I would have loved to have been at that boarding school it was all very lashings of ginger beer. I remember thinking what on earth is lacrosse? A girl called Darrell as the heroine sounded reet cool!

little house on the praire

Before i went to school, i would read ladybird books such as pussin boots, cinderella. When i went to school i only had to read one set of school books but was then allowed to just get my books from the school library, wow it was such a privalage and i used to spend every lunch time in there. I read all the enid blyton faraway kind of stories, then famous five, secret seven, st clairs books and mallory towers books, black beauty, what katy did, what katie did next, water babies, little women and a million other books.

Still got quite a few of them at my mother's
