Well Rossi is Rossi46. He's a Burnley fan I think. They just won the championship and he is out of service. But no idea why that might make anything funny. No doubt all will be revealed

Right I think I've pieced it together with a few intuitive leaps.

Rosso is a bus company serving the Rossendale and surrounding area. Rossi is from Rossendale, and apart from the reference to Valentino Rossi and Bike Number, the bus connection may have been the cause of what Vara found funny. There was probably a news item saying Rosso 464 or something was out of service, causing much hilarity for Vara. Maybe she was still d*unk from her birthday celebrations
