its my parents 60th wedding anniversary today........what an achievment i think!!! Hope we get to be married for that long, only 38 more years before we catch up lol!!!!!!

When i was a patient transport driver i carried a couple who where soon to celebrate there 60th wedding anniversary and as I'd just got married i asked him what the secret of a long happy marriage was,

he looked me in the eye and with a dead straight face said DOING AS YOUR BLOODY TOLD!!

I just pissed myself was so dead pan about it.

Sometimes with the best intentions it just does not work out. We are no less worthy because we had to put it aside.

I agree that it is lovely for those who manage so many happy years together but there is no point in staying together if you are unhappy is there?
