I have a friend who truly believes that some are real from her personal experiences with some of them.

Told her things that know one else would have known about.

I like to think I've got an open mind but I'm erring on fake.

I've also had rubbish ones.

I remain 90% sceptical because everyone has a lady in their past with white hair lol.

I've taken a mediumship course and occasionally go to church.

I've seen and heard things that defy science.

I don't agree with the ones that charge grieving people money for some twaddle when they're desperately searching for comfort.

I don't know. I think they pray on the vulnerable for sure and as someone who could be classed as that, I wouldn't be prepared to see one. I'd dearly love to communicate with MrNotts but if there is life after death, he will deal with me directly and cut out the middle Man!

lsd was another programme. The KGB programme was more focused on low frequency radio waves and influencing behaviour through mind control. Like a remote type of hypnosis. The CIA programme was focused on seeing inside buildings. If they had used this programme in the Gulf it would have proved that there were no weapons of mass destruction.

I believe some of them are entirely genuine, including a local spirit medium who me and my sister have both visited a number of times over the last 15-20 years, who tells us stories from our grandmas past, exactly the way she used to tell them to us when we were little girls. Word for word in some cases!

We also see little signs every now and then that grandma is still around, which is very comforting.

I do however think that there are many fakes out there who pray on people who are vulnerable and desperate to make a connection with a loved one.... and that's just really shitty

I believe I get signs when I really need them,and when she's able to..... there's no courier service from where our loved ones are unfortunately. I always acknowledge them out loud too, just incase she can hear me.

yes there are some who seek comfort and guess what some will take advantage of that..

and there are some of those who seek comfort who probably know they are paying for being told what they want to hear and if that does bring them comfort and they are fine with that arrangement it's no ones business but theirs..

i think with things we don't yet know about (and may never do tbh) that some find scary and find it easier to mock those who do believe in something 'different' or genuinely believe that they have experienced something 'different'..

many things have been 'unknown' in our short time, had we had the same attitude about many things that we discovered etc the 'na fuck it its all bollocks etc' lets disparage or laugh at what others believe in then maybe we may not have advanced in some ways as others..

Totally agree. I'm not a religious person but I am spiritual and have certain beliefs in that regard. If people who don't know me wish to mock me for those beliefs, then I think it says more about them than me.

I don't think we will ever have concrete evidence either way, as with many belief systems

This one is weird and funny. Happened last week, when I was arranging to meet the guy I did yesterday.

Woke up one morning to find a small round bruise on the top,of each arm, in exactly the same place that MrNotts used to put his thumbs kind of holding me down when he was fucking me. When I saw them in the mirror I thought....spooky!

If you enjoy her words that's great , we call those people councillors xxx

I would have to question her motives for pretending to talk to ex living people in order to make you feel better

Money is not the only motivator , attention and control is often more so xxx

I'm inclined to think that there's probably nothing magical outside of our standard experience of the world. I'm a sceptical person who likes evidence etc and the scientific process.

Randi offered $1million many years ago for someone who could demonstrate such special powers. It has still not been claimed, despite a few who have used fraudulent tricks and tried it. I wonder why?!

Derren Brown has demonstrated his clairvoyance, mediumship etc, using cold reading and other psychological techniques. I think his skills are largely what are used by mediums etc.

When we physically die we are probably nothing more than returned to the physical elements that we were comprised of.

I cannot object to any grieving person seeking comfort

I do object to non grieving people pretending they are communicating with the loved one of another

In the long term pretending one can still communicate with the once living does not help the healing process it is manipulation

Far too often regardless of financial gain or non the manipulator will give advice pretending it's from the loved one this is fundamentaly wrong the advice may be good or bad but the grieving should know it's not coming from the deceased
