I get why some people have like a small tattoo, as it can be in memory to an event or person. But people who have more tattoos than bare-skin, or whose arms are all tattoos. Or, as the in-thing seems to be for my age group, lots of random tats all over the body..... Just don't understand the craze lol

I don't think there is a stigma attached anymore. It is much more acceptable to have them now.

We have 3 shop here so clearly people like them.

I find them a turn on on a woman

did you travel the islands or stick to a resort?

I have been going yearly for past 15 years, mainly Oahu for winter surf, north shore pipeline, sunset, Waimea, travelled Kailua, Hauula, Kawela bay, lived in Haleiwa for months at a time, surfed with friendly Hawaiians and drank with many homeless, the homeless population is increasing out there and many Hawaiians are forced to live in tents on beaches mostly around Makaha.

I have also visited Big Island & Maui including dining with "Wyland" and enjoying a barbecue with J. Pitre, Perhaps when you visit the islands you need to live with the natives or venture outwith the resorts

Depends on the tattoos and the person, i don't like to see people covered in loads of little tattoos, I like large pieces and full sleeves so long as they are well done and suit the person who have them

But again what's classed as well done and if it suits the person is another matter of each to their own

I personally love to see heavily tattooed guys

In the same way that some people's idea of heaven is a magnolia or white minimalist show home, others like to be surrounded by colour and texture, it's the same with our bodies, each to their own, there are plenty of people out there to please everyone's eye.

Waimea canyon is a lovely spot, although last year I noticed they actually make folks wear a life vest at the top pool where the waterfall is !!!wtf.

Waimea Bay kicks off when pipeline, sunset and others are blown out and it takes a lot of nerve to paddle out.

If you stayed up at Waimea, was it up past there where the mission and square white tower is? We looked at renting there but it was expensive

lovely island although native Hawaiians are finding it tough

Do you know the difference between those with and without tattoos?

People with tattoos don't give a shit that you don't have any.

"What you gonna do about your tattoos when you're older? Dunno mate..probably grow an epic beard and hangout with badass dudes and generally look awesome. What are you going to do when you look just like every other old bastard?...."

No. Sounds like they have an opinion on tattooing. No one cares if people lack them. It's having them that provokes discussion.

As for judging people with spelling mistakes tattooed on them, I expect it was the tattooist who made the mistake.

I have 3 at the moment current booked in for 4 and five in June. I have my tattoos because they are meaningful to me. I don't give a shit if a person likes them or not. It's on my profile that I have them, so they have the choice not to meet me or not because of them. Just because a person has ratios diesnt make them any different to the person who does. Just some of us prefer to wear art rather than hang it like another person commented earlier.

Many in the forces do; many don't .

And officers certainly did not have tattoos; though that " unwritten rule " is disappearing nowadays.

And no, I am not winding up; I gave my opinion ; I think tattoos are vile. Other people like them .

Those of us with tattoos will worry about OUR tattoos - you can leave that to us, as WE are the ones that will have them for life (or laser) and you don't actually have to look at them.

You know what people with tattoos think about people without tattoos...? They are people. Full stop. No judgements. No strange looks. Funny that....

I mean, it's not like we are all deadbeats or dropouts - do you have any idea how much good ink can cost...? And you'd be surprised how many tattoos lurk under shirts and suits, just waiting to jump out and offend your sensibilities....

I like tattoos on women - good tattoos especially, ones that are art, or have special meaning are the best.

I know what I want but lack the artistic ability to map it out.

It would be my first one.

But I feel that I have to find it within myself to design it as well, it will be more meaningful then

The right artist will help flesh it out for you - if they can't then they aren't the right one.

Thankyou x

Welcome - it took L 3yrs to find the right guy for his script work.

The same one then went on to design the rest you get a hint of in our pics.

All freehand, built up from an idea and life.

Half of mine have serious meanings behind them

The other half just look fucking awesome

My next one is going to be some form undead woman "suicide girl" style holding a gun with script saying "let's play a game of Russian roulette" I've seen something along similar lines and it looked great!

"I get why some people have like a small tattoo, as it can be in memory to an event or person. But people who have more tattoos than bare-skin, or whose arms are all tattoos. Or, as the in-thing seems to be for my age group, lots of random tats all over the body..... Just don't understand the craze lol

I have one that represents my 4 daughters it's very personal and I think I fitting tribute to physically immortalise the love I show them everyday.

If someone doesn't like it and doesn't want to meet me because of it that's fine, I got it for me not to please others

I'm a fan of ink ... My tattoos (sleeve) is very personal to me and every bit of it is meaningful and custom ... I don't like those tattoos people pick off the shop wall ... I just think if you have them they should mean something as a reminder. That's just my 2 cents.

I approve of this post

I'd love to start my second sleeve but the guy i use is £100 per hour and only does half day or full day sittings. So it's a hefty wedge of cash to pay out and commit to finishing.
