Turning fifty...

Fifty today. Plans for a great party etc, but still an emotional hurdle at times, in the run up to this evening. Time is much on my mind I suppose. However, I shall give myself a good kick up the arse, and remind myself to live like I mean it until I'm old enough to have forgotten what I meant in the first place!

How do you cope with big birthdays?

Happy birthday.

Life is not an age,

It's an attitude.

Enjoy.

To answer your question, I'll pose another one. How did you cope with turning 30, or 40?

Same shit, different day to me

Just get crossed off a few more radars that's all

I just ignore big birthdays and then they go away. No drama. Just denial. Easy.

Thirty was buying a house and starting Uni. Forty was with a family of my own and getting married. Fifty is knowing what I have to offer the world and getting on with it. Self-knowledge and greater confidence help with this. Fifty has plenty of plus points, and I dare say I'll still be capable of being a demanding child whenever the need arises.

Now all I need is grandchildren to spoil.

I turned 40 in Jan, didn't want the surprise party that was bubbling away, so took myself off for a weekend away. Had a great time , in my own space dojng my own thing.

Hope your celebrations are exactly what you want. X

Well done.... I hope I live to be that old

Seriously though, Happy birthday.

"How do you cope with big birthdays?"

My view on age is that it's a badge of honour. I've survived another year and I'm still going.

Another year older and still alive sounds like something to celebrate to me.

Have a great day.

Birthdays are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the ups and reflect on the downs of the previous year... Milestone birthdays tend to make you think about more... Age however is only a number that is relevant to paperwork... It is how you feel in your heart and your mind that matters....

Have a wonderful day..Enjoy every minute...and remember that in your head that you are a lot younger but wiser....

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

It's not a big birthday. It's just another day. You're not a year older. You're only another day older.

It wasn't a big deal for me.

Happy birthday have a great one.

I got depressed at 40 and dyed my hair cobalt blue (my version of the blue rinses to come). I had a pity party to my lost youth, then slapped myself and looked at what I'd achieved and survived in my 40 years.

Didn't bat an eyelid at my 50th it went by like every other birthday.

In four years I hit 60 and will have a big family bash or a world cruise...not sure yet!

Every year over 50 the less and less ladies you can message through filters. I reckon when I get to 61 they will be 1 lady left to message. Knowing my luck she won't meet single guys

I was anxious about turning 40 but I've enjoyed my 40's so far. Mr is enjoying his 50's and showing no sign of slowing down. Age really is just a number.

Have a great birthday OP - hope you're thoroughly spoilt. Xx
