Yeah, especially the ones where you'd get a random text on the old Nokia 3310 saying there would be one on a mountain or in a forest!

Look in the Club events section. There is a place that does a great rave night a few times a year. It is everything they used to be with the addition of nudity and sex ??

we were the first sound system that the feds attempted to shut down after the introduction of the CJB ...... it went horribly wrong for the police though and they very publically had to appologise and return the equipment they impounded three days later. we made the front page of all the dj mags and had a 4 page centre spread in the NME. we carried on organising massive outdoor parties well in to the naughties.

God damn, I miss a good rave. Talking giberish to random folks in a field

First one at 15. Obsession. Carl Cox. Blew my whistle but had no idea why everyone was burning and passing round Vicks. I soon learnt

we used to put on club subMission at bagleys in the 90's ... was the biggest fetish club in europe at the time

before that in the mid/late 80's it was squatted by the mutoid waste company ..... raves before rave was invented

Turnmills (AKA Gurnmills) is another one, sadly missed. "Mad Frank Fraser was shot outside of it on the 1990s.

There used to be some huge raves on at Heaven in Charing Cross, they had a massive sound system

I like thinking of my partner attending raves in the 90s, makes me laugh as it's so far removed from the person I know now.

No raves for me, just my generation's equivalent - illegal warehouse parties.

I'm disappointed that I missed that era and the whole experience. I guess there's nothing similar anywhere today. The swinging 60s is another era I think I would have fitted into and loved women's styles then.

Would the 60s have had more sex than the rave scene?

Then finding out at 3am that the police had caught the van carrying the sounds so it was all called off lol... went to plenty of awesome ones though... a good one was at the roundhouse when it was between being a bus stop and a proper gig venue..

Still the odd one in London.

Went to a banging New Year one at an abandoned warehouse 2014/2015.

Other than that I stick to a little psytrance club in Brixton.

I used to go all the time when I was young enough to still think I could dance and could maintain the illusion for 8hours and recover before the invention of teleports and flying cars, the sanctuary in MK and baguelys in Kings Cross being the two favoured stomping grounds both of which are no more unfortunately, but nowadays ive developed the embarrassing dad dance and recovery times aren't so much a case of how long but more a question of will I? Lol some great blurry memories of chewing my face off befriending anyone that looked at me and then shivering staring at the same 'friends' on the way out as if they were from a foreign planet lol

I was working for a PA company and took the Canadian artist Dionne to a few raves. Her first one was Wirkd dance in Kent on the night the Marchioness sank in the Thames, first I knew was when we saw the police dredging the river as we crossed Hammersmith bridge in the morning

I thought raves were low on sex due to what everyone consumed? I've not lived, in some respects
