Blow drying hair?

Are there any girls here who can blow dry their own hair - like how a hairdresser does it?

If you can, I'm in total awe.

lol not a chance!

im probs the worst person ever at blow drying my own hair.

I frantically towel dry.. leave it all frizzy.. then just blast it at high heat til its done, then brush it afterwards

God no, I'm actually quite a rubbish girl. Went to sleep with wet hair one night last week and woke up as Garth from Wayne's World - uncannily similar in fact. Thank goodness for hair straighteners, those I can pretty much drive!

That whole blow drying thing is a black art.

No. Or straighten it so it looks all glossy and neat. Have you seen the new Dyson hairdryer though? 8 times faster than normal apparently. But way too bastard expensive!

I can but I rarely do because it makes my arm ache. I use GHDs if I want it straight a curl secret or a rotating hair brush dryer thingy if I want it curly and if I want to look like Crystal Tipps I hang my head upside down and blast it with a hairdryer.

See if I do the tip my head upside down, it goes all frizzy at the top? And straighteners don't fix it?

I can't get body into my hair, I really struggle with it. Grr.

I bought a proper blow dry brush as if that would magically know what to do.

Doh.

I tried copying a YouTube video but suspect I need to lift weights to get stamina in my arms, and practice maybe 3x a day.

I'm so glad it's not just me!

I can recommend the GHD air hairdryer though, I love it.

I can never get my hair to look as good as my hairdresser, I just blow dry it upside down and put the strainers through it looks passable

I can but it takes forever as my hair is naturally wavy ...

And I have to use a lot of the straightening products on it to keep it sleek and shiny..

But most of the time I just air dry it and leave it tousled

I've never had mine blow dried by a hair dresser so I have no idea

I do have a good hair dryer though and naturally curly hair so i blast my fringe and then a very quick blast over the rest then let it dry naturally

Quick blow dry and straighten thats the best i can do

I find when I want to look amazing is doesn't work & when it's just for everyday it's perfect!!

I have naturally curly hair so have to apply quite a few products to make it manageable.

To straighten it I blow dry it roughly till dry then i straighten it with GHD's in sections, starting underneath & working upto the crown.

Wash it, plait it and let it dry naturally. Can't remember the last time I used a hairdryer.

Mostly, although I apply some beard oil as well which keeps it in shape generally.

I have a twelve volt fan heater high u on the bathroom wall. I jump out of the shower and stand under it to towel dry myself, my hair is practically dry by the time I've finished.

No BUT...I discovered Remmington Keratin Therapy Pro Styler, it's fab, I wash/dry my hair and it's a fuzz ball...10 mins later I have what looks like a curly blow from the salon - best £25 I've ever spent

Good god no I don't blow dry my hair I'd look like a poodle, wash quick rub with a total and let time dry it.

My hair had a life of its own and does what it wants it's made hair dressers cry.

V here. I must be the one person who has the crappest hair at the hairdressers. With longish curly ringlets after she's finished combing it, colouring it with foils, washing it, brushing it, cutting it and brushing it again I look like effing crystal tips!!!

Takes a week to calm down.

Google "what girls with curly hair look like in the morning" A picture of a sheep with bad hair will pop up. It's true... That is what I look like.

When I had a proper hair style I used to be able to. Now I can't keep my arms up long enough; I can't even straighten it all myself at the moment. The products you use do help with styling and drying
