Bogus copies of regs were put out. It's not true. Can still use according to BS7671 17th edition wiring regs. Do need to be accessible or maintenance free.

Quoting the hubby so sorry if that's wrong

I'm no electrician but I got electrocuted by Christmas lights, by changing light bulb, by sticking a screwdriver in the wall socket as a child, by the lighter click thingy, and I grabbed low hanging power lines once...I admit that one was stupid...

"Computer capput on the dashboard x"

Our service engineer replaced the control panel thingy in ours. However our last one it was cheaper to replace the machine.

Waiting on an engineer coming back out on 3rd May, now leaks with every load. Been called for over a week already. Don't pay for appliance plans their response time is rubbish!

Depending on the make and model it could possibly work out cheaper to buy a new one I am afraid.

Whats the make and model ? The PCB's are usually modular and pretty easy to replace, but as said above if its an older model its often around the same price to just buy a new machine if youre getting an engineer in to install the thing too, so unless its a high end model you may be better off just replacing the machine

"I'm no electrician but I got electrocuted

So you are dead then???"

Injure or kill (someone) by electric shock.

I thought electrocuted means death by electrocution too, then I google'd it

Luckily it doesn't. There was a rather dodgy electrocution incident when Michael was training

I did Google it. Out of 6 explanations only one said injury or death. The rest said death.

The word is a portmanteau of elcro and execute... Execute is to kill, not kill or injure, so I went with with the general consensus...

I used to do a bit of electrical work, but I think it was just a phase I was going through
