going to see the Scottish National Orchestra do the soundtrack from Vertigo - quite excited. Any Hitchock soundtrack

Any film track by John Barry - Out of Africa, Bond themes, Somewhere in Time being my fave ever.

Currently listening to Stanley Myers playing Cavinta from the Deer Hunter...hauntingly beautiful.

Also like the score to Superman (1978) by John Williams...gorgeous!

Two to add:

'28 days later' - extraordinarily creepy music, and I keep noticing it cropping up in other films and TV shows whenever they want to have a 'building suspense' moment..

...and 'Once', a film starring Glen Hansard who was the guitarist in the Commitments - he plays a busker who falls for a young immigrant girl in Dublin, the soundtrack is full of terrific acoustic stuff by the pair of them - the first time I've ever watched a film and immediately gone online to buy the soundtrack - highly recommended!

Damn! I forgot John Waters' 'Cry baby' with a young Johnny Depp.. the female lead in the movie was 'sung' by Rachel Sweet, who was a major teen crush of mine (I know, showing my age) - terrific raucous singing voice she has..
