to have missed the announcement about Jane Russell this morning....bloody housework....bloody chickens....bloody cats.....

but we also lost another screen goddess yesterday...Annie Giradot, the French actress and star of films such as Docteur Françoise Gailland and L'Homme aux clés d'or, aged 79

We bid a fond farewell to Frank Buckle, the last surviving US soldier from WWI, aged 110

And the Eddie Kirkland, the Blues guitarist, aged 88

Gone, but never forgotten R.I.P

Me too.... devestated that is. But that's because I had been ripening a giant comice pear in the fruit bowl for a week.... today it was perfect, juicy, ripe and..... I dropped the feckin' thing and it exploded on the kitchen floor!
