Had one on loan from the Audi dealership while my A4 was in for a service.

Nice car but a bit girly for me.

Doesn't even have a bonnet, just a flap for oil, and windscreen wash

Serviced only at dealerships

I liked it took one for a test drive a couple months ago nice little car only thing I wasn't keen on was the sat nav screen popping up out of the dash.

I didn't buy in the end decided on a tt instead

New Mini is a far better car. A1 has been out 5 years and beginning to look dated too. Had several new Audis Mercs and BMWs and BMWs are better drivers cars.

I'd go for the Polo

Bmw and Mercedes don't really have a competitor to the A1

No bought one that's a year or so old as it had internally what I was looking for and a new one was way above my budget

No bought one that's a year or so old as it had internally what I was looking for and a new one was way above my budget "

Correct, but Polo has had interior refresh more recently and has higher levels of tech due to it

Revised a1 will eventually leap frog it

My sister in law had one, then upgraded it to an a3. Mainly because she had a kid.

The a1s are nice and reliable.
