"So you may or may not know that Evie is running a half marathon tomorrow. I want to take this opportunity to wish her good luck.

Known this lady for some time, and the transformation of her lifestyle during that time has been amazing. When we first met she was not a runner, and now she is doing a half marathon. Truly inspiring. Good luck. "

Stick to the plan. Ignore the people who streak off at the start and trust the training you've done.

When it gets tiring at the end remember to keep your form steady and you'll be fine

Thought I'd write a bit more of a re_iew lol

So got there nice and early to figure out where the start and finish was as the course map was a bit unclear. Bumped into the pub landlord Mr Al Murray so asked for a good luck pic with him (poor sod was simply walking back from the shop)

As time got closer we corralled in the starting pen. I like to start at the back as that's where I finish but ended up quite in the middle. The claxon sounded and we were off!!! Well....it took about 3 mins to get to the start, then we were off!!

Big lesson learnt...always go for an emergency wee as by just 4 miles I was busting! Luckily there were loos placed around the course and I didn't need to beg one of the locals to let me use theirs!

As I was in the loo 2 people who were walking the distance managed to pass me....I made it my mission to beat them at least. I managed to pass them a few miles on, only for them to pass me again on dreaded mile 7!

Mile 7 was a gradual incline with a kick at the top...I felt like I was running through treacle. Going backwards. I decided to walk for a bit and use the time to take on some shot blocks for energy.

After that it was all down hill (literally) and we hit a long straight abandoned railway line. Everyone told me this was the worst bit but this was the bit I liked the most! Felt really good as I came in to the finish. Then I stopped, then the pain came!!

If that was how it feels to run 13.1 miles God only knows how it feels to run 26.2 m aube one day I will know but for now I'll stick here lol

Oh and I saw a video of me running and I think I'm a fraud!! I don't run, I mince!
