Choke with Sam Rockwell

Sex addict who pretends to choke in fancy restaurants in order to con rich customers to pay for his mothers care

I liked it, but that's no guarantee lol

Read the book, its even funnier than the film, brilliant.

And while we're talking Sam Rockwell,, try "Moon", awesome film.

Watch Alfred Hitchcock's 1944

Lifeboat

It is set entirely on a lifeboat launched from a sinking passenger vessel following a World War II naval attack.

The film follows the lifeboat inhabitants as they attempt to organize their rations, set a course for Bermuda, and coexist as they try to survive.

The characters start out being good-natured, cooperative, and optimistic about rescue. However, they descend into desperation, dehydration, and frustration with each other.

The back stories of the characters are examined, and divisions of race, religion, sex, class, and nationality are brought to the surface.

The passengers also cooperate through this stress, such as when they must amputate the leg of one of their boatmates, the German-American Gus Smith (Bendix), because of gangrene.

Gripping and claustrophobic.

Binge watch Jessica Jones, there's a scene in it where she is having sex with this huge black guy and it looks like she is going to break him, even though he's in breakable, not only that but David tenant is great in it.

Shame is a good film About damaged people.

I also liked The Legend of Barney Thomson, it's a really black comedy about a serial killer

My recommendation - City of God

One that surprised me as very good was Whiplash, about a young jazz drummer with Miles Teller and JK Simmons. Especially good if you're a drummer, into jazz, a musician in general or into those 'motivational' type films

It's nice and dark, if you like that kind of thing, it will have your emotions tugged in all directions though, be prepared for everything not to be as it seams

Turbo Kid is sooo good, it hasn't had much attention unfortunately. Calvary is a couple of years old but still brilliant, Short Term 12, Antichrist (if you feel like properly fucking your shit up). Natural Born Killers is on there too, classic film.

If you like gory or macabre stuff I recommend a Canadian TV series called Darknet. However if you prefer comedy I recommend It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia or Burnistoun.

didn't think "into the wild" was that popular at the time. still fair enough.

"the straight story" quite an interesting film, best for sunday afternoon really.

but for mindless gory chill out stuff.

"hobo with a shot gun" or a lot of the more adult orientated films by Robert rodiguez

almost forgot pretty much anything Guillermo del Toro touches, although I only just heard he's going to be doing Pinocchio.

Jessica Jones is amazing, although an uncomfortable watch at some times. Trigger warnings for rape, btw.

The original Goodbye Mr Chips. It's just a sweet film.

Citizen Kane - as its a classic movie.

At the Cinema - Eddie the Eagle. New Captain America film is out next week too.

Films are very subjective viewing.
