vehicle emmissions

So the news has just been released that 37 models of car failed emission yes by up to 6 times the levels allowed.

The news are all over this saying how bads it is, and how the consumer is being conned. What they have neglected to point out instead detail is that the manufactures have done nothing wrong. The regulations stipulate the emission levels that a car should reach in laboratory conditions, which all cars have passed.

The new laws that regulate emissions in normal working conditions come into force next year, by which time all manufactures are confident that they will meet the required levels.

This is another example of the news whipping the public up, and more than likely providing a smoke screen for something more serious that will be be brushed under the carpet.

Rant over.
